Ethem lives in Paradok, an version of the Earth where a reality-ending paradox occurred, which slammed every single possible version of Earth together, with chunks of Earth being swapped out for another version at random intervals

Humans slowly died out, due to the lands being harsher, and other species taking their place

Ethem is one of the only known humans left alive

After accidentally going to another chunk of land as it swapped, he was separated from his family. He lived in a nearby village, and met a girl named Atheria, a humanoid made of goo.
