To be fair, Jesus Christ (peace be upon him) wouldn't have likely fit into modern day American society due to his radical left wing views and support of marginalized and oppressed peoples, not to mention his humble and altruistic disposition. While he could have prayed at school, it is difficult to imagine how he would react to all of the racism, sexism, and homophobia that is often rampant in today's educational institutions. Jesus's radical acceptance and love would likely be at odds with many of the values and beliefs held by the average American citizen. Therefore, it is unlikely that Jesus would be able to exist comfortably in modern day America.

I believe that everyone should be allowed to freely practice their beliefs, so long as it does not interfere with the liberties of others. Additionally, I believe that separation of church and state is essential to a free and just society. Allowing students to freely practice their faith in public schools would not violate the rights of other students, and I believe the person in this scenario is misguided. Freedom of religion should be protected in public spaces, including public schools.
