One of the earliest occurrences of a Posting-Disabled party, an incidental one.
The Arkuum was most probably pulled by Church, Sauce took the blame for it for a while.
Apparently, we were not bright enough to check the moderation logs.

The reason we're not sure of who did it that time, is because I forgor 💀 and I'm too lazy to check more than one-year-old logs.

Was It “Paula” or “Paul”??
———————————
Paula was a person that was very good at drawing, one day she came across a user that went by “Bryce”… They both got along well, then soon they started dating… Paula was a very wholesome Person to begin with, Bryce and Paula We’re Unbreakable, but one day… a User That I cannot Disclose (because I forgot who Revealed)… revealed Paula was a “Boy”… This broke Bryce and The more that the Drama Escalated… The more Fierce it got… soon after, “Paula” deleted and Bryce Hasn’t spoken… Then Bryce Left without a word… This Incident Catch many “Wannabes” That wanted to say “Paula came back”… Those were all Fakes…

Pentecost Sunday, 2023. (Info as of 5/29/2023)

Sauce and Del (and Therapi to an extent) had been planning this for (supposedly) a few weeks, but looking back I think they were planning this for a long time. They decided MSMG was too toxic and addicting to continue existence. Del and Sauce "leaving" in June was a code word for this event. But inevitably someone discovered the plot and threatened to spill the beans, so they did it early.

Refugees escaped the Arkuumed hellhole to MEMES_OVERLOAD and potatos_island, thinking MSMG was finally over. However, like after the events of 8/3, the site mods came back about 16 hours later and reenabled posting, taking ownership once again.

It's unknown what is being planned going forward.

Evolution of Arkuum methods.

Arkuum Zero.

This was by Arkuum himself.
The arkuum was primitive. All mods and owners were removed. Even the arkuuming account remained active for a while after the event. That was because they did not need to worry about being found out, they had no stakes in MSmg.

Bazooka's.

Level 2 Arkuum. Bazooka made Church an Owner, who then performed the rituals. All mods and owners were removed. Church deleted his account at the same time. It didn't take time for the stream to know who did it, but Bazooka deleted his account. There was no one to beg for the restart of the stream, and no one to bully into restarting the stream.

It was commonly held that Bazooka posted porn and/or gore, while the stream was "down." It never happened.
However, there were no mods to disapprove any porn or gore that was submitted so it's very probable that MSmg had a really colorful New page just for a little while.

Church's method.

Level 3 Arkuum.
This was the first time a user made an effort to hide their identity.
Church created an alt, and made the alt Owner. The alt account was used to perform the rituals. It's hard to say, but the alt was most probably used to invite another alt as mod and then was made owner to do the arkuum. All mods and owners were removed. It took a while to find out who did it.
The alt that Church invited from his main account was called "NothingPersonalMate".
Apparently, we're supposed to believe it wasn't personal.

It took 5 minutes and 16 seconds to remove every last Owner and Mod.

Winter (https://imgflip.com/user/narandghost) was one of the first people to become Owner after the event, and the first mods he removed were Bazooka, Church, and Darmug, all of whom were considered sus.

Darmug's elaborate plan.

Level L Arkuum. Didn't happen.
Darmug approached Nar, who was an Owner at the time, with a plan to cause an arkuum.
This was after the 5-Owner rule.
A mildly popular alt was active on MSmg at the time; It made MSmg slander memes.
It was quite obvious it was Darmug's alt, surprisingly, no one realized it. Nar and I knew. Darmug told Nar about it, and didn't expect anyone else to know.
The plan was for Nar to somehow make the alt an Owner, and the alt was to be used to perform the ritual. Nar was a pussy. Nar told me about the plan- obviously, she wasn't supposed to. Fortunately, I would never want to do anything of the kind.
The plan fell apart after Nar found herself too much of a pussy to do it, and too much of a pussy to tell Darmug she didn't want to do it.

The alt never got Owner.
Darmug was removed from Mod. Most probably by Winter.

What's really funne, is that Darmug was never confronted for it. I never talked to Darmug. Nar never said that anyone else knew about the plan. Winter doesn't talk a lot. But Darmug's bright enough to get the message.

At the moment, the alt still exists.

The LGBTQ Raid

On December 27, 2022, Asriel became owner in the LGBTQ stream and he had unbanned everyone who was previously banned. Asriel got the bright idea to start a war so he informed MSMG about what he had done.

Many good MSMG users charged the stream, and many battles were fought. Estimated casualties are ~6,900. Eventually LGBTQ managed to reban everyone, and the raid lasted only an hour or so.

Del scolded everyone for doing it, and there was fear the site mods would get involved. Luckily nothing too serious came of it.

The LGBTQ conspiracy.

Once we had a user from LGBTQ who tried to bait MSmg peeps into acting "homophobic" so they could report the MSmg peeps and get them banned.

A user from LGBTQ posted a cringey gay post about themselves being "gay" or something of the kind (the kind you'd see scrolling by New on LGBTQ). MSmg was starting to pull it's classic MSmg troll moves but an upstanding MSmg citizen looked through the poster's profile and found out what they were doing.
No MSmg user was banned.
And the post on LGBTQ on which they planned their L move was disapproved after many flags.

"Shared Alt" problems.

Foxy (imgflip.com/user/SpookyFoxy) found out that the password to an account - an inactive account created by someone else, with the name of ___xFoxy- was "Password". Foxy renamed it to "e...". Cam got the password. Cam's friends got the password. The account soon got mod.
And it mentioned all of it's inhabitants in a mildly popular tagline. Users begged to be in the account just so they could be in the tagline.

First, we faced the problem of the account posting borderline ToS violations. There was no way to know who posted anything, and banning the account would be punishing 68 other people who were only having fun.

Second, one user from the account started to seriously harass specific users.
Most people blamed Trap (imgflip.com/user/DenjiKun), which was pretty harsh given that it wasn't Trap. But his reputation was just that way.
It was Nar. It's safe to admit it now, now that she's left. Nevertheless, she's proud of herself.

We'd never faced any problems of the kind before the shared alt, so mods didn't know how to handle it.
I was one of the users on the alt, so it was hard to remove it's mod.
I removed the account's mod. I also temporarily banned the account for spamming hot swears in comments.

Several other "Shared alts" popped up afterwards. But none were of the same interest to the general public. Bazooka made a pretty elaborate stream rule to regulate the conduct of "Shared alts", given the history of e... .

One of the users on the e... account then deleted the account. We don't know who.
There were several other e's, each with more periods than it's predecessor, and then the concept died out.

The Dark era:

Starting from today, I officially declare Msmg in its worst state yet. I call it the dark eras. Just like the dark ages that plagued Europe, there are multiple reasons why, but only a few big ones.

Reason 1: The loss of Drizzy:
Drizzy was (I mean, they still exist today, but I will still refer to them in past-tense) an owner in Msmg. Many, like me, feel as if he is the true owner of Msmg. The great owner. He started the copypasta and lore archives, made many rules, and was here since the start of Msmg. So why would they leave? It all started when they unbanned a very infamous user known as TheCreativeKid2007. There's a lot of information on him already, so I'll keep this short, but basically, after many dramas, he finally got banned after defending underage Hentai. The person who banned him, Pochita (Currently known as Kobenis_Car) lost his mod, and TheCreativeKid2007 was unbanned. Until Peachy, another owner, restored Pochita's mod, removed Drizzy's mod, and banned TheCreativeKid FOR GOOD. However, the loss of one of our owners, a key figure in Msmg history, scarred the Stream

That's all for part one.

So, if you scrolled down trough these archives a bit, you probably found some deleted homie spouting about the dark eras or sum shi. That user is me

It's a very good example of me making a project I don't finish. I only have part one. There were more parts i planned, but i forgor.

Anyways, this comment is my thoughts on it, over half a year later.

I think what I said was true, completely. Msmg was in a horrible state at the time. I was hoping for a "renaissance" of sorts after that, because 1: there were more and more users that had opinions from old msmg, and 2: that's what happened in yurop (best contibent😎) after the dark ages.

That didn't happen

Kind of. potatos_island is something for another day.

Back to the whole thing, while all this was going on, Sauce and Del, two users, were *ahem*

"Leaving"

This was a code word for the triple arkuum, where both sauce, del, and therapi (I miss therapi :(. She was good user) all arkuumed the stream, and all three left. Del still checks memechats, and sauce came back very briefly to shit on emo snake.

Anyways, the site mids came back and revived the stream. It has been under de facto site mod control since (as of August 30, 2023) called MSMGSOC

Then the stream came back. It just... did. All that dread and creeping feeling of some kind of death had disappeared. Many users joined, many left. In my opinion, here's the rough msmg timeline as of now

April 2020 - February 2021: The peaceful era. Msmg was just a group of loud 14 year olds memeing and sharing their stuff. I have looked through posts of that time, and it was pretty peaceful

March 2021 - January 2022: The era of insanity. Msmg got popular due to absurdly large alt raids. More users came in, and it became the hellhole it is today

February 2022 - August 2022: The golden era. Or so I've been told. I don't know much about this time period, but it came to an end when the Narkuum happened

September 2022 - October 2022: First MSMGSOC. Sitemids occupied the stream. The damage was repaired, and buildings were rebuilt.

November 2022 - February 2023: The calm era. After they left, msmg became... quieter. It wasn't like the dark ages, it was peaceful compared to those days. I look back on them with fond memories

March 2023 - June 2023: The Dark ages. A time of suffrage in Msmg. Were Sauce and Del the villains, or were they the true heroes?

July 2023 - present: Second MSMGSOC.

And that's them longass essay.

Del’s Face Reveal: 5/9/2023

As a sign of Del’s imminent departure, the famous MSMG owner posted half of her face to MSMG as her first recorded face reveal. Per her (probable) request, the image link or image itself will not be shared and will likely not be revealed again until after her departure.
