Gerber is a very reliable brand

that knife is only good for thrusting. and by the looks of it it doesn't have and edge on either the blade or the tip.

Wdym by thrusting? I usually keep it around for self defense and carving things.

I am reviewing the knife from a blacksmithing perspective. As each blade you smith should be able to Keel. (like kill but not, as in sharp enough to cut through things and tough enough to not break or chip the edge)

it works in the way your using it, as your using it without problem. But the best blade should be able to do everthing of it's type.

like a roman gladius, they're known for being a thrust weapon but some were noted to be having an edge.
