(Jeffery has a surgical mask on. You're starting to wonder why.)

Yeah I’m just confused about the surgical mask you have is all-

Jeff: .. It's a long story. May take an hour or two to explain.
Silver: *Nods in agreement*

Ben: But we can tell it if you guys want to hear it.

*nods and sat down*

Jeff: Okay.
A HALF-HOUR LATER..
Jeff: But that's when I was faced with 3 buttons in that weird void. I couldn't tell what they were saying, so I just went with the second one.

Ben: I picked the third one, allowing Evan to pick the first one.

Shattered: . Me: ohhh-

Ben: And trust me, if we could do it over again, we should've just left the lanterns we found alone.

Jeff: Turns out, all three of us got killed by being attacked by whatever was in those things.

Silver: .

Ben: And they've made it so we'd still be alive, but we're stuck with whatever they chose would happen to us.

Jeff: So that's why I was wearing the mask. It's to cover up what happened to me.

[What happened, you may ask?
Well, the lanterns the trio found were cursed, and after they were killed by the spirits stuck in the lanterns, they each had 3 choices for how they can spend their afterlife. But the catch is, the spirits messed with their answers, which caused them to come back wrong, in one way or the other.]

Shattered: huh1

Ben: So Silver can't talk, I'm stuck crying blood, and Jeff has.. well..
Jeff: *Took off the mask, revealing a Glasgow grin (basically, he has his mouth slit to resemble a grin ala Kuchisake-Onna [don't ask if you don't wanna know who THAT is.])*

Jeff: *Put the mask back on and hugged you* Sorry you had to see that.

Ben: ..You alright? You look like you saw a ghost.

Ben: (Started talking to the two before turning back to you) Dream, these are my friends, Jeffery, and Evan.
