When you find 3 geode but no diamonds:

at least the sounds in those things are cool... and the amethyst blocks are REALLY pretty (proceeds to mine out the whole geode and use it to decorate my base)

yeah i tend to focus more on making my base pretty rather than making it safe. just one of the reasons i don't play hardcore (another is that i'm just really bad at killing some mobs)
