the full yourlocalmemer lore (how I joined imgflip and my journey on imgflip)

TLDR: In 2020 I make a slideshow for making memes on because I really wanted to make my own memes, and a few years later I’m introduced to imgflip. I make a few memes and then go inactive. I come back and follow some streams and get pretty popular, I go on a quest to become funny because someone called one of my posts unfunny. Now I’m kind of funny and have a bunch of followers.

The year is 2020, quarantine is happening and I’m still relatively new to the internet (I wasn’t allowed on the internet until I was 10 sadly). And I’m just in my zoom class and we’re learning about using Google drive stuff. I was kind of familiar with memes at the time, and I really wanted to make my own memes, so I created a Google slide thing, and searched for meme templates and put them in there, and I added text. I shared this slide with other people, and we all made some memes together (keep in mind everyone was in like 6th grade and among us was popular so our humor was absolute dogshit) near the end of 2021 chat started to die and so I abandoned it. The slideshow still exists today. Anyways onto when I actually join the site…

The year is 2022. And I’m sitting in class, bored as hell, then my friend introduces me to imgflip, which is a website where you could make memes really easily, and so I decided to join. On my school account lmao. It had my first and last name in the username. After realizing signing up on my school account was a bad idea I just used my regular account. And thus, YourLocalMemer69 was born (yes that was my first username).

I make a few shitty memes on imgflip and then I go inactive for most of summer break in 2022. Then once school starts again, I find myself, once again, bored as hell and having nothing to do. Then I remembered I have an imgflip account. And I go looking around the site, posting some memes in different streams, then I find a stream called Imgflip-bossfights. It looks interesting and at the time it has like 180 followers. I join, thinking it would be just like r/bossfight, and it is kind of. But some people have made their own bosses. Trying to fit in, I make a red stickman holding a staff and I post him on there. I made him really powerful so I could stand a chance against other bosses. But everyone absolutely shitted on me for it “Haha look at my character beating up this stickman” I decide to stay in the stream for some reason, but anyways this isn’t Imgflip-bossfights lore, it’s about my whole journey on imgflip. Let’s move on.

So I tried my luck with joining other streams. And I followed a bunch of them, made a few posts in there, then moved on to other streams. One stream in particular was interesting to me, MS_memer_group. So I join it and I make a kind of funny post. I occasionally check on msmg and imgflip-bossfights, but rarely ever go on the other streams. I’m looking at the msmg posts, trying to fit in, then I make a terrible meme which someone responds with “Please become funny” …and I took that personally. It became one of my missions to become funny. I applied for msmg mod, and I made a lot of posts on msmg. And now look at me, I have an average sense of humor and a lot of followers. And Imgflip-bossfights? Yeah, I’m popular on there too. My stickman gets a few redesigns, I make lore, more characters, and now he’s considered one of the 4 main characters.

A small part of this story was someone called out my username, saying it was stupid because it had a 69. So I changed it. I started to use imgflip a lot, and now it’s the present day, I’m 14, and I’m on the grind for 300k points.
