Then you haven't been to the right ones.
Chain restaurants like Chipotle, Qdoba, Chuy's, Baja Fresh, and South of the Border are *Americanized* Mexican restaurant chains that are focused on attracting as many customers as possible. You need an *authentic* restaurant, owned and operated by actual Mexicans. They'll all be 'Mom-and-pop' establishments. THOSE are the restaurants you want.

And if you're going to authentic restaurants and still don't like it; you have no taste.

Texas, NM and AR has the best Mexican food. I’m Californian living in Pennsylvania and I don’t like all those big fast foods places.

That's because they're run by white men from corporate suites.
Again, you have to go to *authentic* places.

But the authentic places are somehow bad, too.

Oh!! You're right in Philly!!
Señor Salsa is right up your area, but they're a bit flashy and americanized.
El Tapatio is a good, cozy spot, with some good, authentic, made-from-scratch recipes.
Plaza Azteca is good for a chain, but mediocre. It panders to white people, in most places.

You're in a tough spot, as it's a predominantly white demographic. You'd either have to go into Philadelphia proper, or outside the area. My family lives in Berks county, and they have a lot of really good Puerto Rican, Mexican, and Dominican restaurants, if you're willing to travel an hour for dinner.

Puerto Rican and Cuban is great. I had some in Georgia.
