Why is McDonald’s removing soda machines from the main lobby? Why do I have to ASK for a refill at Chick-Fil-A? Why are they gatekeeping my ability to refill a cup that I paid for?
Don’t even get me started on Sonic which charges insane prices for drinks, fills them to the brim with ice so you get the least amount of drink possible, and doesn’t let you refill whatsoever.
And at places like Whataburger and McDonald’s I need to ask for Ketchup? What happened to ketchup faucets and cups? Five Guys has it. Braum’s has it. Why do I need to squeeze 10 ketchup packets from you for the same effect as if I just got a little cup and pressed a pump?
Some places I’ve been to give you refills but they have paper straws, and they don’t let you get another straw, so it’s pointless unless you want to drink it out of the cup lip like a cave man.
I used to sit next to the soda machine and ketchup station at McDonald’s so I could always get a quick refill. Now I can’t. It’s all obsolete.
