He invented the Funtime Animatronics, who are extremely technologically advanced and discovered Remnant (soul stuff) which allowed him to 'always come back'.
He found a way to create robotic humanoids as well, and basically used Remnant to discover eternal life.

well, he closes doors on them and manages the vents to make sure they don't come and also places down a wet floor sign to scare off some certain robot. he also has to manage the electricity so things don't turn off and make sure he can still breathe.

He's also, as you mentioned in the title, extremely good at charming people and manipulates his closest friend and family members to get away with things, he also managed to get away with murdering at least eleven children.

He's also able to fend off over 50 different highly aggressive animatronics at the same time

Some of his greatest achievements are:
-The Funtimes. They are very advanced, and harvested Remnant.
-The Sound Chips from the Twisted Ones. While this is a non-canon book, the Sound Chips are in the lore, and make such a high pitch sound they can make illusions.
-The Toy Animatronics had facial recognition.
-While I can’t confirm if the Glamrocks were designed by William before Fnaf 3, but they no doubt took inspiration from Afton.
-Due to UCN being Afton’s hellscape, the way you are able to fend off that many animatronics at once as him is very impressive.
