the best part of liberalism is that the threat is always an ominous undefined force, where specific groups are perpetually under threat decade after decade but nobody can seem to point to who, where, when and what, just a vague idea that someone somewhere is being oppressed so everyone needs to do more to alleviate it.
and god forbid anything negative happens to anyone in a protected group for any reason because *obviously* the only explanation is that their protected-group-characteristic was the cause and only reason for the problem to exist.
