The fact that all Americans are different is a good thing, it means we love our country and wish to improve it to our best ability, so no, we shouldn't all be the same cookie cutter characters, we should celebrate our differences.
Republicans claim to be patriots but actually believe in American Nationalism, Christian Nationalism and Russian Nationalism. To believe in unity involves supporting immigration no matter whether they are legal immigrants or not.
Some immigrants are labeled as "illegal" because they may have forgotten to bring their passport or visa or even never owned one yet had to flee and end up either locked up in a detention centre and get sent back to their country or die while fleeing whether it is by boat or land.
That's one part of unity, supporting immigration. I could go on all day about different things Democrats support and Republicans oppose, with the Republicans opposing things to make a political football
