Like I said, lemme know what y'all think! And I'm not here to start drama or anything!

Like I said, lemme know what y'all think! And I'm not here to start drama or anything! | Ok so I'm not sure if anyone here likes the webtoon, but I'm here to tell you why boyfriends is bad and icky! If you still choose to support it that's ok. I'm just here to point out the icky. (Check description if you can't see well); Firstly, the creator is racist (has said the n-word while being white and hasn't apologized as far as I know), and a proshipper! For those who don't know, proshippers are those who support problematic ships, such as Incest, Pedophilia, and gross stuff like that. Secondly, it fetishizes gay people/poly relationships! There's many, MANY instances of this, I would recommend watching a video on it. Thirdly, all of the characters are just gay/mlm stereotypes! I don't really need to say much on this, their names are literally Jock, Goth, Nerd and Prep. The creator also claims that "Nerd" is a self insert, so do with that what you will. Their relationship is quite sexualized as well, mixed qidh the "cutesy" artstyle which is just? Ew. I've seen one comment say, "It's just a thing to fetishize gay and poly relationships, while simultaneously making money off it. because that's what works with the user base." And also, people calling the characters their "gaybies" is odd to me, but okay.

Now, if you choose to keep supporting it, it's good for you! I can't control what media you do and don't consume, and I'm not here to cause discourse, I'm just here to point out some of the bad things. I get it's a "slice of life" and it's meant to be something easy to consume but capitalizing on stereotypes is just off to me. If you try and start unnecessary discourse I will ignore it. Let me know what you guys think! :3 | image tagged in emu otori | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

Kinda hard to separate the story from the author if one of the characters is a self insert
