Typically the flag is used by racists to symbolize the Confederate States of America, a rebellion in the 1860s intended to preserve and expand slavery in the Southern states. It can also symbolize white power or people who don’t understand it isn’t the Confederate flag and try to use it to „honor their ancestors“
