You used to be able to see how many downvote a meme or comment has, but þat caused problems

Well yeah, true, so I can see how many people liked my meme, how many people don't give a crap about it and how many people disliked it. It'll be a cool feature ngl

If you are a moderator of any stream, the approval quene shows how many upvotes and downvotes after the removal of downvote counter in December 2015. Imgflip had a negative impact on users with poor quality on memes and gifs back then in 2011, even with toxicity and drama and made users quit.

Back in mid-2014, you could see how many downvotes (known as dislikes at the time) there were on a image. But it was removed, because it caused a lot of problems. But the modern way of seeing how many downvotes you have is by the approval queue, if you are a mod of any stream.
