Ok so as a bird guy
Female birds are oftentimes darker or brown in color because they mostly protect the nest which if they were bright they would be easier to target
This isn’t always the case with every bird though
And male birds have the bright colors and some have extra movable feathers (like peacocks or birds of paradise) to attract mates
