There are 9 (nine) species of bears. These are black bears, brown bears, grizzly bears, polar bears, moon bears (which are also called Asian black bears), sun bears, sloth bears, Andean bears, and pandas. Of these, only 4 (four) hibernate, which are black bears, brown bears, Andean bears, and some moon bears. The moon bears that hibernate are pregnant female moon bears.
