James: "You have a death note?" *He made sure not to say it too loud*

James: "Let's go somewhere more private, I'd rather not be heard talking about this..."

aliana: what do you mean, sir?
(I haven't seen death note but i do know what the book does)

James: "I... can't say here, we'll have to go somewhere else ."

James: *He walked to a café*
"You have one, a death note?"

Aliana: yes

James: "You don't seem nearly as surprised as me."

Aliana: I mean with my past it's not surprising that I got this

James: "Hm? What do you mean?"

Aliana: I don't really want to get into it right now

James: "Okay then, I just want to know a few things. Do you have it on you?"

Aliana: yeah

James: "Yes."
*He didn't hesitate to respond*

aliana: if i don't kill for him he'll kill me

James: "Have you told him about me?"

Aliana: no, I haven't

James: *He relaxed in his chair*
"I'd best get going."

aliana: alright

James: *He left smiling and returned the next day, even more irritated than last time*

aliana:what's wrong?

James: "I-"
*He paused for a moment*
"Someone... they found out that I'm killing people."

aliana: oh

James: "This is serious! It's some crappy detective who goes by "L". Haven't you seen the news broadcast?"

Aliana: no

James: "Well he's out for me, he's figured out that I can kill people from a long distance. Doesn't that affect you at all?"

aliana: i'm pretty good at hiding it

James: "The notebook?"

James: "How about you? How are things?"
*He chucked*

aliana: more or less the same

James: "That's good..."
*He pulled out his notebook and opened it, flicking through the pages, he had already wrote countless names*

Aliana: Jesus!

James: "What? I take this thing seriously."

Aliana: I can tell

James: *He lightly chuckled*
"Thank you, really. It's nice to have someone to talk to about all this."

Aliana: I bet it is

James: "Did you mean to say that condescendingly?"

Aliana: no, I didn't. I'm sorry

James: "That's a secret, now open it up."

Aliana:*does so*

James: "You're pretty good, how long have you had this?"

Aliana: a few weeks

James: "Who do you kill? I don't recognize any of these names."

Aliana: only who i was asked to

James: *He clenched his fists under the table but managed to keep a straight face*
"Ah, so other people aside from you know about the death note?"

aliana: no

James: "You said "only who I was asked to", who asks you?"

aliana: my- uh father

James: "So an alias?"

aliana: no, an akuma

James: *He was pretty interested*
"Go on."

aliana: a few years ago i accidentally made a deal with him and now i'm stuck in a pactwith him which kinda took away y free will

James: "Why? What did you get?"

Aliana: a bit of magic.

James: "Sounds like the eye deal... I'm confident you're telling the truth."

Aliana: yes i am

James: "I recommend trying to find out their name as soon as possible."

Aliana; i know his name

James: "Good."
*He gave a brief but unnerving smile*
"Do you ever think someone else will find out about the death note?"

aliana: i don't think so

James: "Okay, thanks."
*He loosened up a bit and ordered a coffee*

Aliana:*smiles*

James: "I guess we'll just have to see... Anyways, I should probably count wall of these names up."
*He tried not to grin whilst looking at all the names*

Aliana: alright

James: *He shut the book and put it away*
"Why do you use the notebook again?"

Aliana: to prevent my own death

James: "What do you mean?"

Aliana: remember how I told you that I'm a warlock?

James: "Anyways, considering that I know your name I'd tread lightly."

Aliana: alright..

James: "Obviously I'd rather not exchange phone numbers or anything that gives away personal details so I'll come here at the same time everyday, that way we can make sure we don't loose touch."

Aliana: alright, then i guess i'll see you tomorrow

James: "Good."
*He stood up*
"Is there anything important you need to ask me before I leave?"

Aliana: no, not at the moment

James: "Great."
*He got up and left*

Aliana:*leaves*

James: *He came back the next day*

Aliana:hi *she has a few new bruises*

James: "Hm? You seem... injured."

Aliana; i fell down the stairs

James: *He grinned*
"Hm. Is there anything you have to ask?"
*He sounded pretty smug*

aliana: yes actually

James: "Go on then, I'm interested."

Aliana: what do you want with me?

James: *He paused before responding*
"Do you mind elaborating?"

Aliana: well if you know who i am, know that i have a death note and asked me to meet here everyday you clearly want something from me. i just want to know what that is

James: "I want... to work with you. I'd also like to think that you would cooperate with me."

Aliana: i see

James: "I'll leave you to it for now, there's not much point in telling you anything else."

Aliana: alright

James: *He left for the day and returned the next*

aliana: hello again

James: *He seemed pretty frustrated but just responded with a simple*
"Hello."

aliana: whats wrong?

James: "I'm getting bored. Nothing's changed since I started this notebook."

aliana: i see

James: "I only started it to improve my life but I'm still stuck in the same place..."

Aliana: i'm sorry to hear that

James: "And do you mind showing me?"

Aliana: ok.. *shows him*

James: *He reached out to hold it, trying not to smirk*

Aliana: hold on, what are you trying to do?

James: *He paused before tapping the book*
"Sorry, I just wanted to see how many people you've... you know."

Aliana: oh alright

James: "I don't know what to say now... I would ask for your name but I already know."
*His intentions suddenly seemed far more cruel*

Aliana: oh? then what's my name

James: "*Her full name*, don't act so smug."

Aliana: how did you know?

James: "What do you say?"

Aliana: i'll have to get permission but i'll let you know

James: "You don't need permission from anyone, a death note isn't a joke."

Aliana: i'm not joking

James: "Who do you need the permission of? No-one. If you know their name they're not a threat."

Aliana: i do know his name, but he's much more of a threat then you might think

James: "Tell me everything, I'll do whatever it takes to stop them."

Aliana: you can't stop him, he's the devil

"You mean a shinigami?"
