"The Bloop", which was an ultra-low frequency sound coming from somewhere in the atlantic (true story). Based on the frequency, the creature that made the sound would have to be many times larger than a blue whale. This creature would be something like that only much bigger (as big as a small island) and possibly in the bermuda triangle unless that's too cliche.
