It wasn’t “fake” but half of it was made up of dry candy.

I could tell you with full confidence that it wasn’t. I go out and find different kinds of reptiles and invertebrates all the time, and I see no shortage of scorpions. Which reminds me, I saw several bark scorpions when I went out to the Sonoran desert (I bought the scorpion on my way back to Georgia)
