its harder because its easier to memorize a pattern, that's why we can easily remember poems and songs! if you want to memorize a bible verse, try making up a tune to go with it!

You should listen to Seeds Family Worship. Literally all of their songs are Bible verses set to music. The primary reason I have so many Bible verse memorized is because of them. Check out their music!

There are actually a few songs in my church's primary songbook that are based on direct scripture quotes-- "Nephi's Courage," and "The Articles of Faith," are ones I can think of specifically.

Dis be way to true. I can only remember one Bible verse but I can remember dozens of different songs.
The bible verse I remember is:
"For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son so that those who believe shall not perish but have eternal life." I think it's John 3:16

Because it’s not something out brain wants to sit and do without motivation. I would recommend looking into Bible Quizzing, it has giving me motivation and passion to memorize scripture. If you’re still a teenager or younger check out the first link, and look for a ministry near you in the links. If you’re an adult look into the second link, which is a similar ministry but for adults.

Also try breaking up verses into smaller bits if it’s longer, for example, if you take Rev. 4:8, you could memorize “And the four living creatures each of them with six wings”, then “are full of eyes around and within, and day and night they never cease to say”, and finally, “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was and who is and who is to come.” You can change how big or little the chunks are, but essentially you memorize the verse in pieces, then merge them together.
