Actually, the reason we look weird in videos to ourselves but not to others is because our faces aren't perfectly symmetrical, so we see them mirrored in the mirror all the time and that's what we're used to, but they aren't mirrored in pictures and videos.
Sorry if that makes no sense, I'm a horrible teacher.
