Misty: Stormbringer, Crystal, and Mirage went up that way though. Should we continue checking the mountains?

*the nervous dragon from a few days ago landed next to Inferna and whispered something in her ear*

Inferna: Stardust thinks she has something.

Mudslide: by all means, lead the way.

Gemstone: Mirage and Stormbringer are in danger. There is an Ice Wall that kills anyone without IceWing blood.

Inferna: Mirage and Stormbringer know, Stormbringer told us about it. Crystal said she would stay clear of that, but given her behavior when we met her…

Mudslide: yeah, I don’t exactly trust her.

Misty: Stardust, you should probably go find them.

*the dragonet quickly nodded and took off.*

*Gemstone stays hovered in the air*

Mudslide: .. where did she tell you to go Inferna?

Inferna: further north, somewhere in the mountains.

Gemstone: That sounds like a place in between SkyWing and IceWing borders...

Coelacanth: should we wait here? Or..

Inferna: Stardust will find us. Let’s move out.

Gemstone: *nods and follows Inferna*

*You all take off, and moments later you’re joined by Abyss and Cascade, they must have been in the area.*

Abyss: where’d Stardust go?

Inferna: to find Stormbringer, Mirage, and Crystal.

Cascade: what about Barracuda?

Inferna: they’ll probably see us and join us.

*Gemstone and Corruptnight stay silent. They seem to be hiding something...*

Crystal: I understand why you would worry about her. Icewings like me who grew up thinking all nightwings were out to kill us.. that could be a problem. Dragons are difficult to change. I think you both will make wonderful parents though.

Stormbringer: *to Blizzard* let’s get you cleaned up.

Blizzard: You’re gonna need to stop hugging me for that. *her voice was still a bit shaky, her mind had finally quieted down. Everything from the last few days seemed to be a blur to her. She tried her best to forget, but Stormbringer and Corruptnight were able to read everything. She was min*

Stormbringer: alright. *he let her go*

Mirage: you remind me when you used to bury yourself in the sand to try to look more like a sandwing.

Blizzard: except this time I was actually trying to hide myself instead of trying to fit in.

*Stormbringer and Blizzard walked over to the river flowing through the cavern*

Gemstone: *to Crystal* Plus we IceWings are against hybrids.

Crystal: that too.. many take pride in tradition… I suppose this would sort of break that.

Aurora: more than break it. This would be the first time we’ve ever had good relations with nightwings again if it goes well.

*Blizzard and Stormbringer stepped into the water. They both began to try to wash the mud and dried blood off Blizzard.*

*Crystal got splashed*

Crystal: hey! *she laughed*

Blizzard: sorry..

Crystal: well I’m glad you’re somewhat back to you’re old self.

*Gemstone laughs and Corruptnight wraps his wing around her*

*now that all the mud and blood was washed off, her scales were practically shining. It was still pretty dark in the cave, but you could see she had a few scars from her fights. Stormbringer slipped Blizzard her ring back with only Blizzard and you noticing and they started to disappear*

Crystal: *speaking to you* let’s get you back to Sanctuary. Coelacanth told me about the meeting.

Blizzard: I’ll come with you.

Crystal: you’re kind of.. wanted.. right now.

Blizzard: right… I kind of wish none of this happened.

Stormbringer: I know.

Blizzard: I wish the entirety of Vulture’s clan forgot about the contract, and the bounty.

(In this variation of the role play, they don’t know what happened, the original plan was to find Blizzard the night before so they all knew what happened.)

*she nods to Crystal and lifts off. Corruptnight follows her*

*Crystal and Aurora stay at your side, the rest of the dragons follow behind you. Stardust staying at the very back. Her scales began to mimic Blizzard’s*

Crystal: I hope you’ll be alright in Pantala.

Gemstone: I'll be fine. I'll try to kill Queen Wasp. Just in case if I don't come back and Corruptnight doesn't either... Will you take care of Eclipse for me? *she says to Crystal*

Crystal: I’ll try. I’m not a very good parent, I have Blizzard as evidence to that.

Blizzard: I heard that. None of it was your fault.

Aurora: oh come on, most of this was a result her trying to help you by making a little extra money it seems. Besides, you won’t make the same mistakes again right.

Crystal: I said I’ll try.

Blizzard: besides, you’re a better parent than I ever could be. I don’t think a great parent is one who accidentally affiliated themselves with a gang would make a great parent either.

*a sandwing rose up and lunged at Blizzard, or who they thought was Blizzard. Stardust got caught and is now spiraling towards the ground with the sandwing*

Blizzard: hang on I’m—!

Inferna: go with Gemstone, you’ve had enough action for the last two days. *she must have been ex-military like Crystal and Aurora*

*Inferna and Mudslide both dive to find Stardust, all of them went into the tree canopy*

Cascade: … *she sighs* here we go again. *she turned around to help Inferna*

*Gemstone flies off with Blizzard. Corruptnight is helping fight off the SandWing. Gemstone hovers in the air above them and tries to use her frostbreath to help*

Crystal and Aurora at the same time: Good luck.

*She nods. Gemstone and Corruptnight leave...*
Eclipse: Mommy? *She notices Gemstone left*

*Crystal places Eclipse on her back*

Crystal: shhh.. it’s ok. Hopefully they’ll be back soon.

Aurora: we better explain to your sister that we have a new challenge.

Crystal: well, where do you want to set up shop? I don’t have the money to even buy the metal we need to get started.

Blizzard: maybe I could help w—

Crystal and Stormbringer: NO!

Blizzard: … okay, given what I’ve done, I’d see why you’d say that. Hear me out, I won’t do any of that ever again.

Crystal: *Crystal still looked at her disapprovingly* I’m not letting you get into trouble again.

Stormbringer: it’s not just that, you need time to recover from all of this.

Cascade: we’ll figure something out. Maybe I can head to the rainforest and come back with extra fruit to sell. I make trips all the time.

Barracuda: I can go see if I can find enough pearls for you to start jewelry or something. Not many dragons are buying armor right now.

Crystal: that would be very helpful, thank you guys. *she started to look relieved*

(Probably not for this line rp line, I was going to restart the Pantala line as the new focus, but I might have an RP that’s sort of like an epilogue as the ending. It won’t be long like the last few, but it should be enough to cover an ending if you want to use Eclipse or another dragon since it will take place after Genstone and Corruptnight leave. The Pantalan line however takes place at around the same time and may extend towards the last book. It began just before the meeting started with them getting stuck in Pantala with no way back)

Cascade: she’ll probably be ok. *she turns back to you* If she needs anything she can fly above Sanctuary. Thank you again for your help. I better go get some sleep. *she already looks like she’s falling asleep and fighting to stay awake*

*she nods* No problem! *she starts to walk off*

*whoever was left in the plaza walked off together to find a place to sleep*

*you heard someone talking behind an alley in a static like broken voice, and Stardust responded as quietly as possible, you didn’t hear that much of the conversation*

*Tidal Wave camoflauges her scales- even her biolumenescent ones- and spies on Stardust*

*by the time you got close enough to hear, the conversation was ending*

Stardust: good luck Ivy..

Ivy?: *she chuckled* luck has nothing to do with it, but I’ll definitely need it.

*when you turned into the alley, it was just her. But she wasn’t sitting like a dragon normally. Her wings were sprawled against the wall, her back was also on the wall. Her back legs were being held by her arms locked together. Her tail wrapped around her. Her head rested on her knees. She looked worried.*

Stardust: come on out Cascade, I know you’re there.

*Tidal Wave doesn't move*

*she tucks in her wings in, she changes her scales to blend in with the area. It’s a perfect match for the building and road*

*she steps closer*

*you hear her climb up on top of one of the buildings*

*she quickly follows*

Stormbringer: *taps Crystal’s shoulder thinking: “I don’t think this is going to end well”*

Crystal: *turns to him* what?

Stormbringer: *whispering* Gemstone wants you to know this.. she and Corruptnight have a hybrid dragonet.

Crystal: *she turned to you, as if looking for confirmation, thinking: “does she really?” She pauses between thoughts. “I trust Queen Genstone. Stormbringer and Blizzard will have one if they love each other and decide to have one too, so I guess I better get used to it.”* … alright, *she shrugged* so?

*Gemstone and Corruptnight glance at each other*

Crystal: *thinking: “I guess the idea seems weird to me. It can’t be that bad, right?”* *whispering to Gemstone* Is it true?

*Gemstone nods*

Crystal: *whispering* I’m happy for you. Congratulations. *she wasn’t sure what else to say, so she flew on, deciding to focus on finding Blizzard*

*Stardust suddenly dives down, a little too fast for a normal dragon, initially scaring Inferna since she was close behind her*

Inferna: THREE MOONS!

*Stardust extends her wings and slows down as she realizes that’s not normal, and lands on a cliff ledge, it doesn’t look particularly interesting though. Why did she land there? Inferna banked right to follow her.*

*she smiles faintly at Crystal. She stares at Stardust weirdly*

*Stardust seems to be staying there, so Inferna lands next to her, she pointed at the cliff face and said something you couldn’t hear, she seemed more nervous for some reason, though she seemed to have gotten control of her scales, they were turning an icy blue again*

*Inferna looks to where Stardust was pointing*

Inferna: um.. guys? You might want to look at this.

*Gemstone walks closer and looks at the cliff face*

*everyone landed on the ledge, and you could see it. This cave definitely wasn’t there before, and you couldn’t even see it despite flying extremely close to it until you landed. The whole area felt wrong.*

Stardust: *speaking quietly* why does it feel weird?

Abyss: *he nods* it feels wrong, like it shouldn’t be here. Magic probably.

Stormbringer: it feels just like the Nightwing caves in the rainforest. *he looks uneasy*

Crystal: well we aren’t going to find anything by just standing here.

*yes, it was magic, but something felt off about that too. Stardust was the first to enter the cave, Stormbringer and Crystal followed behind her*

*Gemstone follows as well*

Crystal: *whispering to you* I still haven’t told Blizzard about our parents… they were killed in the war. I should probably wait to tell her, right?

*Crystal looked over to Blizzard, it looks like she was just starting to recover from the shock*

Gemstone: I think you should, especially right now. *she whispers back*

*she nods*

Crystal: that’s what I was thinking. Not yet. I’m just concerned about if she asks before I return home to my duties.

Gemstone: As Queen, if you need time to explain it before you go to your duties, just ask me and I'll make an acception if you become late, mk?

Crystal: it’s not like I haven’t taken time to go look for her anyways. But I always come back at some point, this was one of my extended trips. I’m already way overdue to return, I’ll probably have to start my own forge now. *she laughs. Maybe hats why she was wearing the armor, it was one of her own pieces.*

*she nods* But what should we do about Blizzard's rank? I'm required to do something.

Crystal: don’t worry about that, we weren’t ever nobles, nor would we ever be. Did she ever come back to you, maybe to look for me?

(In my AU, at one point before Glacier died and after the war was over, she managed to sneak Abyss into the kingdom to explain her situation to Glacier on why she went missing in action. Glacier was busy at the time with other problems so she dismissed it. In your AU you would take Glacier’s place, she would have taken a few trips to find her parents, but she would never have found them. She and Crystal would miss each other as Crystal began to travel further south to look for her.)

Gemstone: If she had, I didn't see.

Crystal: alright, you have an intercontinental trip to prepare for. Don’t worry about anything about rankings or other stuff until you come back.

*she nods*

*the group seems determined to find the Icewing. A little while later, Barracuda’s group rejoins you. Seerstriker, Barracuda, and Aurora appeared on your side, though Seerstriker had her spear out. Maybe she just didn’t want to leave it.*

Barracuda: you guys found anything?

Inferna: we might have.

Aurora: my queen, are you alright?

Gemstone: I'm fine. *They continue to be silent*

Aurora: alright. I’ll stand by if you need anything.

*you continue on flying, eventually you see a group of four dragons approaching from the west. It was Mirage, Stormbringer, and Crystal, and they seemed to be ok. They were struggling to keep up with the strange dragonet you saw earlier. Stardust was her name*

*Gemstone starts to walk close to Aurora. She starts to whisper to her* I'm afraid that my hybrid child was spotted. I'm starting to be questioned.

Aurora: *whispering back* If she was, there is nothing you could do about that. I hope it doesn’t make things harder for you, but I don’t know what to do in that situation.

*Stardust rejoins the group, so do Crystal, Mirage, and Stormbringer shortly after, you felt a gust of wind pushing you all forward*

Inferna: is that everyone?

*Stardust nodded, she seemed more nervous in such a large group*

Inferna: go ahead Stardust, lead us to her.

*Stardust nodded and pushed herself ahead of the group*

*Gemstone follows. She thinks something directly at Corruptnight, but Stormbringer overhears it* I hope she is okay... Our hybrid child will bring question..

*Stormbringer overhears it, but decides not to comment. He knows he would try to do the same thing to protect any icewing/Nightwing hybrid from his tribe*

Inferna: how was the icewing border?

Stormbringer: There’s no sign of Blizzard there if that’s what your asking. *he was hopeful Stardust knew where she was*

Crystal: same as it always is.

Mirage: three moons it was cold…

*Crystal rolled her eyes, Seerstriker and Aurora chuckled*

*Stardust flew ahead of the group. It was hard to catch up to her, even for Inferna the skywing. She always seemed just a little bit further no matter how hard anyone tried to get close to her*

Gemstone: *notices he overheard it and thinks to him* It's alright. Please only tell Crystal.

Stormbringer: *thinking back* I don’t think that’s a great idea right now… but I could tell her if you want me too.

*Corruptnight nods at you, telling you you should. You remember that Gemstone can't read minds*

Blizzard: *quiet* you can stop now.. I can’t move.

Crystal: only if you calm down.

Stormbringer: not until you feel okay.

Blizzard: I’m fine… *her mind was slowing down, she seemed to be calming down. Part of her didn’t want Stormbringer to stop though.*

Stormbringer: *he began to hum a little*

*The dragonet chuckles slightly, catching everyones attention. Gemstone quickly grabs the dragonet*

*Crystals smiles and holds back her own laughter*

*everyone else looks a little confused, except Seerstriker and Stormbringer who chose to ignore it, and Aurora who already knew*

Mudslide: yours I presume? *she chuckled*

Gemstone: *sighs* Mine and Corruptnights. *the Ice-NightWing chuckles slightly and holds onto her mothers horn*

Mudslide: well congratulations.

*the mudwing hybrid troop and Inferna all smiled and congratulated you (Misty included)*

Seerstriker: hey congratulations. *she seemed to take it well*

Cascade: they look adorable.

Blizzard: there’s something to smile about. *seemed to cheer her up more*

Abyss: congratulations.

Aurora: well you already have mine and Stormbringer’s.

Crystal: … *she paused for a moment but ended up smiling at her* I agree with the rainwing. I think you’re going to be a wonderful mother and Queen for her.

*she seems confused. Clearly she was expecting to be hated*

*half the cavern is filled with hybrids, of course they would understand. The least understanding dragon was Crystal, and she’s finally accepted the fact that maybe not all nightwings are bad dragons (I literally forgot Barracuda, pretend I mentioned him congratulating you in the last comment lmao)*

Barracuda; is something wrong?

Gemstone: I'm just, used to people finding out about Eclipse *she motions to the dragonet* and going nuts.

Mudslide: our troop is all hybrids. No one’s ever cared much in the mud kingdom. Yes, believe it or not, Misty is a hybrid as well, we just joke that she was adopted.

Aurora: you know I’m a hybrid already. *she shrugs*

Crystal: look, I can see why Icewings would be angry. If I found out before I found Blizzard with Stormbringer… I might have gone crazy too. But now I think I was foolish. Even now I still think nightwings are suspicious.. but it’s a habit I think I can break eventually.

Mirage: there were a few hybrids in the Scorpion Den.. not many, but I just remember, you went there if you needed a place to hide from anyone. Unfortunately it’s not that great of a place.

*she nods*

Cascade: I know a few mudwing seawing hybrids myself, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen a rainwing hybrid before. You look beautiful.

*Inferna and Mudslide had come back*

Inferna: hey, Gemstone’s gone.

Cascade: *she turned to the skywing* she left a few minutes ago to get some sleep before they head to pantala. *she started to yawn*

Inferna: guess we’ll find her in the morning before she leaves. *Inferna and Mudslide leave to go find shelter*

Tidal Wave: Thanks. Also, I saw Gemstone leave being some kind of hybrid, who was that?

Cascade: what did the hybrid look like? *she wasn’t sure initially what you talking about, but she guessed you meant Eclipse, which she wasn’t sure she should tell you about*

Tidal Wave: A Night-IceWing.

*now Cascade isn’t sure what to tell her or what Queen Gemstone would say. She thought about for a moment before telling the truth*

Cascade: that’s Queen Gemstone’s dragonet. She didn’t want to take her to Pantala since their mission is quite dangerous.

Tidal Wave: Cool!

Cascade: I wouldn’t tell anyone about it though. It’s causing quite a few problems for her. You know, because of the icewing and nightwing rivalry thing?

Tidal Wave: I understand perfectly.

Cascade: yeah, I would just keep it a secret for now.

*she turned around to find Stardust was missing again*

Cascade: .. where did she go now?

*Tidal Wave shrugs*

*Corruptnight must have lost them at some point, because next time he saw Stardust, she was already standing on the Sandwing’s neck as Inferna and Mudslide watched confused, and Cascade tried to help hold the tail back*

Stardust: I think you’ve got the wrong dragon..

Vengeful sandwing: what do you mean Blizzard?! You may have forgotten your crimes, but I still remember!

Cascade: … Blizzard’s a few years older than her. She’s just a dragonet, I don’t know how she took you down.

Vengeful Sandwing: *his voice was a little strained by Stardust standing on his neck* HA. I don’t know where you met this idiot, but I’ll kill you both eventually! I will have my revenge.

Stardust: … oh right. *she changes her scale colors again to match Inferna’s red, she was angry but not that angry, in fact, she seems almost nervous just talking to him.

Vengeful sandwing: !

Cascade: like I said, wrong dragon.

Vengeful sandwing: I.. why were we fighting again?

*now both Cascade and Stardust looked confused*

Inferna: huh..?

Blizzard: I wish for everyone currently hunting me to forget about the bounty, and to stop hunting me. *she seems almost scared again like something is going to go wrong again*

Abyss: … are you trying to use the magic again?

Blizzard: yeah, I’m trying to use the magic again. It’s the only way we’ll be safe.

*Gemstone also seems confused. She shakes her head and lands. She stares down at the SandWing in pity/hatred/anger. You couldn't really tell*

Vengeful sandwing: I.. I don’t remember. Anything. *anger and rage seemed to boil within him*

Cascade: … *Stardust steps off their neck and Cascade slowly backs away while holding the tail to make sure he doesn’t sting anyone* could you maybe calm down and tell us?

Vengeful sandwing: I found information on a dragon that hurt me, but everyone in those funny black robes had forgotten. I went to find them myself.. finally have a little bit of justice. An icewing is all I remember, not their name.

Abyss: I don’t think you should be using your magic like that.

Blizzard: I’m done letting other dragons get hurt for things that I’ve done. It’s probably someone I’ve hurt in the past, I’m sorry.. *she seems nervous just trying to tap into to the magic*

Stormbringer: … I agree with Abyss. This isn’t the best way to use your magic.

Blizzard: *panicked* how do I undo the spell?

Barracuda: I don’t think you can.

*Blizzard began to panic again. She didn’t like having the magic, and she started to wish’s she didn’t have it. Every spell she had casted seemed to torment her. Or maybe it’s just because most of them were manipulating dragons.*

Gemstone: Everytime you use your magic, does it give you a feeling that you are about to go insane or something like it?

Blizzard: no.. it’s just, I don’t like hurting dragons, and every spell I just casted seemed to make everything worse… (Note, Thorn hasn’t forgotten about the contract yet.) *she starts panicking even more. Her mind starts racing again. She’s scared to use it again, to the point where if she were to choose whether to use the magic again or kill herself, she would take her own life.*

Stormbringer: *he start to realize maybe it’s the best outcome for everyone, so no more dragons are harmed because if this situation. He puts his paw on her shoulder* slow down.. whatever happened between you and him, it’s gone. You can’t change it. Maybe this was the best way to solve it, so you and him don’t get hurt any further.

Blizzard: are you sure?

Stormbringer: … I think so.

*on the ground*

Vengeful sandwing: … I remember.. they left a note saying they were forced too.. I never believed it.

Cascade: maybe they were. You never know another dragon’s situation. It doesn’t make them right in any way.

Vengeful sandwing: *the rage began to turn to pity* maybe you’re right. I’m sorry, for both mistaking you, and attacking you. If you ever find them again, could you please tell me? I would like to find out for myself.

*Cascade nodded but had no intention of telling him about Blizzard. The sandwing got up and flew off*

*she nods* Would you like to get rid of this power? Note that you can go back on your decision. *Everyone notices what she is going to do. she is going to enchant something for Blizzard that can be destroyed if she wants to go back on her choice*

*she begins to nod but gets interrupted as Cascade flew back up*

Cascade: thanks for saving our necks down there. I know it was tough for you to do that…

Blizzard: .. *she nodded at her instead*

Cascade: I was able to convince him to stop hunting for you after you made him forget why he was fighting. He still wants to find you, but I think he no longer wants to fight you.

Blizzard: … *she hesitates to answer your question.*

Stormbringer: … *mostly to Blizzard but to you as well* I think you just need a little time to get used to animus magic. I can see you’re scared of it, the only way to get through that is to live with it a little bit. I was scared of my mind reading too. I’m still scared some times. We have Abyss to guide you, and when Gemstone gets back, she can help you too.

Abyss: yep, I’ll help you as much as I can.

*She tries to find something that Blizzard is always equipped with*
Corruptnight: I agree with Stormbringer. I was also scared of my Animus magic, mind reading abilities, and foresight.

*Blizzard keeps nothing on her. No weapons, no armor, and no jewelry accept for the healing ring. And breaking that could be problematic. It’s one of the few animus touched objects made by Abyss.*

Blizzard: I think you’re right. I just need some time with it. Thank you Queen Gemstone for your offer, but I don’t think I want my magic gone just yet.

*she nods* The offer is always up if you change your mind.

Stardust: thank you so much.

*a rainwing greeted the two of you*

Cascade: for a moment I thought we lost you. Are you alright?

Stardust: yep. *she ran to go talk to Blizzard and Stormbringer.*

Cascade: oh that dragonet… thanks for finding her for me.

Tidal Wave: You're welcome! *Cascade notices she is cheerful. Not a normal nature for a SeaWing*

Cascade: *she smiled, she’s pretty tired after the last few days with not much sun time* It’s certainly been a busy few days for me. I appreciate it.

(tbh I don’t know what is normal natured for any dragon except rainwings. Skywings.)

Cascade: It’s always nice seeing a fellow rainwing out here. I hope it wasn’t too much trouble.

Tidal Wave: It's fine.

Cascade: I’m surprised she even came into the city. I think she’s scared of dragons, but don’t tell her I told you that.

*she nods*

Cascade: it’s also really cool seeing a hybrid. Not many of those around.

Tidal Wave: Yeah. Especially between SeaWings and RainWings, in my opinion.

*Cascade fell asleep almost immediately. That morning, you found she was gone, and Bedrock was up. Cascade left to go look for Blizzard.*

The contract was never brought up during the meeting. Everyone seemed more worried about what queen was was capable of. (Assuming events in your AU play out like the books, they’re supposed to in mine.) None of the other queens got to hear about it (unless you really want to have a giant manhunt, or I guess dragonhunt, for both Blizzard and Vulture).

*After the meeting, Bedrock and Coelacanth were talking to the injured skywing from yesterday. They seemed to have recovered somewhat. At least they were walking around. It was now midafternoon*

*Gemstone looks around, exausted from the meeting. Corruptnight went with her and was also exhausted*

Unknown Skywing: … her running and this sandwing pounced on her. I again, I agreed to split the bounty with him, but she was just a dragonet.

*Gemstone looks at the SkyWing*

Unknown skywing: I tried to help subdue her, that’s when I realized she was a dragonet and I tried to pry him off of her. I remember yelling, “Stop you’re hurting her!” He just yelled “What are you doing?! You’re going to—“ and everything went black. Guess I’m lucky… what happened to him?

Bedrock: you don’t want to know.

Unknown Skywing: … he’s dead isn’t he?

*Corruptnight eavesdrops a little bit*

Bedrock: um… they might be.

Unknown Skywing: oh.. .. is the dragonet ok?

Coelacanth: we don’t know. Where did you last see her?

Unknown Skywing: where you guys found me..

*Corruptnight tries to read the SkyWings mind to see if she is lying*

*they skywing wasn’t lying about that. Seems like they were telling the truth*

Unknown Skywing: did you guys need help?

Bedrock: well we wanted to know where she went, but you were out during that..

*Corruptnight gives up. Gemstone walks over to them*

*everyone enters the cave, you follow Stardust for a little bit until it opens up into a large cavern. There was a river flowing through part of it and a tree growing off to the side despite there being no sunlight, but still, everything felt wrong… You found Blizzard shivering on the ground, her dagger held out. She was covered in mud and blood, her own and her previous four victims. She no longer looked like herself.. Still, Stormbringer approached carefully. Crystal behind him.*

Stormbringer: Blizzard?

Crystal: you alright? *thinking: “of course she isn’t, but it’s probably safer to ask.”*

*Blizzard slowly lifted her head, her breathing was shallow*

Stormbringer: it’s alright, we want to help you…

*Gemstone approaches her* Blizzard, are you alright? It's me, Gemstone. I just want to know what is going on...

*she doesn’t respond, she looked like she had been crying*

Crystal: *gently* come on, you’re safe now.

Stormbringer: *gently as well* we’re here to help you.

*Blizzard doesn’t say anything, she stands up. She seemed unsteady on her feet. She drops the dagger and slowly approaches Stormbringer. She hugged Stormbringer before burying her face, she continued sobbing. Stormbringer wrapped his wings around her to comfort her. Blizzard’s mind seemed to be a huge mess, memories and thoughts were mixing together at a rapid pace. She was slowly calming down.*

*Crystal quickly picked up the dagger without her noticing and put it in its sheath before doing anything else. If Blizzard said something, you didn’t hear it*

*Gemstone brushes Blizzards wing softly, trying to comfort her*

Blizzard: *very softly, almost impossible to hear* I’m s-sorry.

Stormbringer: shhh it’s ok… you’re alright.

*Crystal hugs Blizzard over Stormbringer, everyone else gathers around her. Even Stardust, who seems to be afraid of large groups of dragons.*

*How was the cave created? Whose magic was used?*

Gemstone: ...Blizzard? Where did this cave come from?

Blizzard: *softly, hard to understand because she was sobbing still* I-I don’t know.. it just a-appeared after I wished f-for a place t-to hide…

*that explains how she was able to throw Stormbringer and Crystal back as well. Seems like she has magic and it’s diffidcult for her to control it, especially in this state*

Blizzard: *more panicked but still quiet* it-it scared me.. *she’s seems to be scared of herself, or what she’s capable of now*

Gemstone: I understand. If this is somehow a new form of Animus magic, if you ever need help come to me. Do not be afraid to ask me for help.

*the magic doesn’t feel new. You remember her holding the dagger after killing Sandwing Contract Giver. Then shortly after, she flung Stormbringer and Crystal back. Maybe she always had an animus gene and it got activated after being dormant somehow. She seemed to look different too but it’s hard to tell with all the dried blood, mud, and wings in the way.*

*Blizzard still seems to be afraid of herself*

*Seerstriker joined in the hug now, layingher spear up against the cave wall*

*Gemstone and Corruptnight join in. A small dragonet runs up out of nowhere and squeazes through and hugs Blizzard's leg*

Gemstone: I can tell you guys want to know what kind of enchantment. Well, it is one to protect my soul from my magic.

Blizzard: *Thinking: “well that makes sense. Every animus would want to protect their soul.”*

Barracuda: I always wondered about that theory. Is it really your soul gets consumed or is it something else?

Gemstone: It doesn't consume your soul, it just makes you lose your control and sanity.

Barracuda: yeah I can see that.

*you all land in Sanctuary*

*You see the IceWing royal family for some reason. Corruptnight takes Eclipse and hides with her*

Blizzard: *thinking: “oh great..” She’s unprofessional and doesn’t follow icewing traditions much. She’s actually scared of them. Stormbringer sensed this, they both attempted to duck out. Mirage figured it would be best if he left too. Crystal and Aurora, however, were stuck, and Crystal couldn’t leave to make sure her sister didn’t get into more trouble.*

Crystal: *she grumbled* great.. I’m sure this will be fun.

*Seerstriker seems to have disappeared*

Inferna: *whispering to Mudslide* it might be better if you guys left for now.. you—

Mudslide: *whispering back* I’m not leaving without you. Besides, as long as they don’t really talk about us she should be fine.

Inferna: *whispering to Mudslide again* you know how uptight this one is.

Mudslide: *whispering to Inferna* alright, just this once. Let’s see how well the rest of the troop disappears. Come find me when you’re done. *they both nuzzle each other before the troop falls away, leaving Barracuda, Abyss, Cascade, and Inferna, plus the two Icewings at you’re side.* (if you want to choose someone who gets caught, that’s fine)

Snowfall: Hello, Gemstone.
Gemstone: *turns very cocky* What do you want?
Snowfall: What I should have had in the first place.
Gemstone: Oh, please. Your mother chose me for a reason.

*Abyss takes the opportunity of using the distraction to leave. Crystal and Aurora stand silently at attention, perfect form*

*Cascade smirks a little, Inferna smacks her to get her to stop.*

Inferna: *whispering to Cascade* this could end really bad for her. They might challenge her.

Cascade: *whispering back* I thought the reply was funny.

*Snowfall and Gemstone start to fight. Snowfall leaps at Gemstone who dodges it. A challenge for the throne has taken place*

Coelacanth: I don’t know, I could be wrong. She might have an animus object on her that allows her to just throw dragons backwards, but I doubt it given Misty’s description of the incident.

*she nods*

*they continue towards sanctuary*

Bedrock: wait a minute.

Coelacanth: hm..?

Bedrock: I know icewing tradition is to save their magic for one gift. But couldn’t we potentially use magic to find her or—

Coelacanth: bring her here? Probably, but it’s safer if we don’t. We don’t know how she’s going to react and I certainly don’t want her to be brought back to a populated area, given that she’s already killed 2 dragons and critically injured another 2 in one day. It’s still not even midnight yet.

Gemstone: The IceWing tradition has been forgotten for two reasons. 1: Animus magic is broken. 2: I am the only animus. I still promised to use it only when needed the most.

Coelacanth: exactly. Better if we find her without magic. How did you even know about that anyway?

Bedrock: when we visited the cave Inferna had been living in, Stormbringer had a few scrolls lying around. I decided to read one.

Gemstone: It is getting closer and closer to morning and the meeting...

Coelacanth: the others might find her. Even then, they need to rest. Let’s just take this dragon back and get them to a professional Doctor.

Blizzard kept moving. If she made it to the icewing border, she might be okay. It’s too cold there for any other dragon to survive. From there she would need to find a way to Pantala. She didn’t care if she was leaving her friends behind, or the fact that Pantala is under the control of a crazy queen who could use kind control on other dragons.

She couldn’t even imagine what Crystal and Stormbringer were thinking right now. It didn’t matter though, her friends were safer without her anyways. She didn’t want Stormbringer to get killed over her. Maybe it was better if everyone forgot she existed…

Stormbringer kept looking. Blizzard was in trouble. She needed help, but she was pushing everyone away. It didn’t matter what she had done to him, especially since all of the dragons she injured attacked her first.

The night was almost over and soon everyone would have to get some rest. Hopefully Blizzard would too, and realize that running may not have been the best option. ‘Only that it was’ he thought. He would have done the same thing in her position. She must be scared out of her mind.

Gemstone: We should just set up camp outside the city for the night and get some rest.

Coelacanth: I’ll take this dragon back to a doctor.

*Gemstone nods. The rest of them help set up camp* Yell for us if you need help.

Stardust: thanks.. *she didn’t like the sound of that, mainly the part about that they were with the queen*

Tidal Wave: By with the Queen, I meant they were with her before she left, sorry if I confused you there for a minute. *Stardust notices something odd about her scales, they were kind of RainWing like*

Stardust: it’s alright. *she looks at her* you remind me of my friend Cascade a little.

Tidal Wave: *she chuckles slightly* How so?

Stardust: you sound cheerful, like her.

Tidal Wave: ...because I am half RainWing, probably.

Stardust: that’s why your scales also reminded me of her.

*she nods*

Aurora: is anyone else searching?

Abyss: Crystal, Mirage, and Stormbringer are together, and I don’t know about Inferna.

Aurora: she’s with the mudwing group. I could barely tell that seawing was a hybrid.

Abyss: you mean Misty?

Aurora: yeah. I heard the one called Coelacanth joke that they thought she was adopted. Anyways, they’re staying around Sanctuary right now to see if they can get some more information, unless they already left.

Gemstone: Ok.

Seeerstriker: *thinking* maybe it is too dangerous for Stormbringer to be with Blizzard, I don’t want him to end up like this. How long was that bounty on Blizzard? What’s she got to do with this Vulture dragon? I hope Stormbringer’s thinking about leaving her.

???: sorry. *must have been one of the hybrids, you could see his gills, but other than that he passed for a mudwing* we’ve got a skywing bounty hunter hidden in the bushes about a two clicks that way. *pointing toward’s the nearest mountain* same thing here?

Seerstriker: no, this was rushed. Killed with a slash across the neck like the other one, but this isn’t nearly as clean, multiple other wounds as well.

???: huh. Ours is knocked out, barely alive. Coelacanth and I are going to try to take them back to Sanctuary or possibility right now. Maybe she was ambushed when she ran out here.

Seerstriker: I don’t know about that. But we do know she’s being tracked by other dragons. You got anything else for us, Bedrock?

Bedrock: that’s most of it. Just so you know, Mirage, Stormbringer, and Crystal are checking out the mountain. Misty will drop by if we find something.

Aurora: thank you Bedrock.

*he nods and flies in the direction he was pointing*

Gemstone: *she follows Bedrock. Corruptnight stays close behind his mate*

*it doesn’t take long to get there surprisingly. You run in to the whole troop together and Inferna the skywing. You find that Coelacanth is already carrying the injured skywing, they look to be in pretty bad condition*

Inferna: woah, hey. Wasn’t expecting a queen to help us out. Sorry for all the trouble.

Coelacanth: ready Bedrock?

Bedrock: yep, let’s go.

*Seerstriker, Aurora, and Barracuda move on. Abyss and Cascade tried to follow you*

*Gemstone starts to fly towards the closest medical place for Inferna*

Coelacanth: I guess that makes sense. She was a former princess. Still, I am concerned about your safety.

Bedrock: you’ll be ok, right?

Gemstone: I will. I have Corruptnight coming with me. (In my AU, they allowed two NightWings because Corruptnight was an Animus and they needed all the animuses that could actually use their magic)

Gemstone: Where in the Three Moons could she be?

(Tbh that was my bad. They found a different skywing that was injured. Inferna isn’t. That was confusing wording on my part)

Inferna: yeah, this dragon was in pretty bad shape. At least when we walked by he was alert enough to at least tell us he was here. Coelacanth offered to take him back to sanctuary or possibility if he told us why he was out here. So, here we are.

Gemstone: Should we bring him to Sanctuary?

Inferna: probably. He was here to ambush Blizzard after he learned she was nearby by a sandwing. Agreed to split some ‘bounty.’ Maybe he might know more about this.

*she nods and flies off towards Sanctuary*

Coelacanth: you guys didn’t need to come with us. He’s not waking up for a while. But thank you anyway.

Bedrock: not many ways you can literally throw dragons by just yelling “stay back.”

Gemstone: But... How? I'm the only known IceWing animus left.

Inferna: this is a really bad time for this.

*Barracuda seems to have flown to the top of the building to watch, Cascade and Inferna tried their best to stay out of the way with Cascade eventually fleeing, presumably to go find everyone else again*

Aurora: couldn’t have picked a worse time.

Crystal: we know the rules. Can’t step in.

Aurora: did she outright say she challenged her?

Crystal: I’m going to assume the “what I should have had in the first place” was the challenge.

*Both Aurora and Crystal glared at him for his response*

*The family walks away. Gemstone hisses at Snowfall*

*Blizzard offers her healing ring*

*a little further in, a sandwing wearing a dark robe with their face covered passes you in the forest, heading in the general direction of your camp. However, it’s also the path towards Sanctuary. Maybe they were just traveling.*

*she carefully stalks them after clashing the gauntlets silently*

*they stop for a moment and continue walking until they found a clearing. After that they took off*

*She quickly follows behind him*

Sandwing Ace: …stabbed in the back by that moron I talked to after that icewing and Nightwing left. I don’t think he even knows when that contract was written and just made it up.

Sandwing grunt: worst part is, Vulture’s gone mad and has been since Darkstalker last talked to him. No way he could have written that thing. Before he was too smart for that and now he’s a bit crazy.

Sandwing Ace: had to have been someone else and he managed to get Vulture’s approval. I know he actually wanted to use Blizzard instead of executing her, and I know he wanted her punished for killing our top fighter, but I don’t think he would have actually sent her to kill Thorn unless Blizzard is that good.

Sandwing grunt: I think the only reason why we learned of her was because this other moron blackmailed her.

Sandwing Ace: that scumbag got what he deserved anyway. Killed by his own creation.

Sandwing grunt: you think he had something to do with it?

Sandwing Ace: possible but I doubt it. Maybe Vulture did think she was just that good, but I can’t imagine why he would immediately try to get her to murder Thorn.

*she quickly wraps her claws around the Ace's neck, threatening to kill him*

*The Ace stops, gasping for air and trying to keep himself level at the same time to keep you from slashing his neck accidentally, the grunt doesn’t know what’s going initially but quickly figures it out when the ace finally finds your arms and lifts your claws off of him*

Sandwing Ace: *coughing* animus.. *coughing* touched object.

Sandwing grunt: you swallow a bug or something?

Sandwing Ace: a dragon just tried to choke me mid air. I’m still holding their talons, rainwing probably.

*the sandwing grunt starts trying to find you, it looks like they’re not taking chances as the ace is already lashing his tail. Maybe you might want to talk this out, see what else they know.*

*she turns back to visible* That is where you are wrong... *she hisses* I am an animus. I will kill him if you do not tell me more about Blizzard.

(Ngl I always thought they had one on their tail, so all the picrews I’ve made have one lmfao, if I went back and remade everyone’s picrews to fit the tribe description it would take too damn long.)

*Stardust notices, but doesn’t comment, not realizing it’s a mutation.*

Tidal Wave: Kind of. It's a rare feature for SeaWings. I think it is a mutation because it has the length of a RainWings as well.

*Stardust un-camouflages her tail and shows the end. You can see the forked tail more clearly, it looks like it could be for a fin but there isn’t even a membrane there like for webbed claws*

Stardust: huh.. I wonder if I just have a mutation.

Tidal Wave: Probably. It is highly possible with Hybrids. I heard that Gemstone's daughter has purple blood, a mixture of her moms and dads.

Stardust: *thinking she’s safe to think to herself: “that’s the thing, I don’t appear to be from any tribe.”* how the heck would a dragon know what color blood another dragon has without hurting them?

Tidal Wave: It's a rumor I heard. Another SeaWing saw her daughter fall and hurt herself badly. They said her blood was a purplish color.

Stardust: oh, I hope that dragonet’s ok.

Tidal Wave: I'm pretty sure she is fine.

*it’s hard trying to follow a dragon that just turned completely invisible, her camouflage was working very well. It was hard to tell where she was moving and what buildings she was jumping to. Eventually she slowed down on a shop in the middle of town. When she ditched the camouflage, she didn’t even look tired. She just sat.*

*Tidal Wave seems confused*

*Stardust looks around, maybe hoping to spot some of her friends, or maybe to kill time.*

*Tidal Wave uncamoflauges herself and walks up to her*

Stardust: … figured someone was following me.

*She nods*

*she still looks worried for some reason. She doesn’t say anything else. She just sits there. She tries to hide her tail so she could camouflage the end of it again*

Tidal Wave: May I ask, but why are you hiding your tail?

Stardust: what? *she tries to play it off* what do you mean? *she shows her tail again, it looks a little shorter but otherwise looks normal*

*Tidal Wave shakes her head, confused. Stardust notices she has a rare SeaWing feature, a fin for a tail*

*she quickly camouflages her tail before you see it again. When you do, you only see one, normal tail.*

Stardust: alright then. *she seemed a little shy, she began to walk down the street, though she seemed like she thought you would follow her*

*Tidal Wave somehow blends into the shadows. She must be some kind of hybrid*

Stardust: so.. who are you exactly?

Tidal Wave: I'm Tidal Wave.

Stardust: nice to meet you Tidal Wave.

Tidal Wave: Nice to meet you too, umm... What's your name?

Stardust: erm… my name’s Stardust..

Tidal Wave: Nice to meet you, Stardust! *she seems cheerful like a rainwing, odd*

Tidal Wave: Yeah. They were with the IceWing Queen who was going off to somewhere.

*she realizes it’s just one dragon*

Stardust: There was a fight between 2 Icewings (Gemstone and Snowfall) I saw while I was entering the town so I hid.

Tidal Wave: Oh. Yeah, the fight's over.

Stardust: thank the A— moons. *she made a mistake and almost said something else*

*She doesn't notice and nods*

*she steps out of the alley*

Stardust: I better go find my friends. *she barely looked like she was 4 years old, her tail had forked into 2 towards the end, like it could have been a fin but it wasn’t. It was briefly in view before she hid it again*

*Tidal Wave continues to look at the tail. As a SeaWing, even she couldn't tell what it was*

*it’s possible it was just a mutated fin, but you didn’t see one. Furthermore, the dragonet didn’t really look like a seawing. Wrong colors and no obvious bioluminescent scales*

Stardust: um.. is something wrong? *she notices you staring at the tail. Which she couldn’t hide with camouflage it while you were looking at it*

Tidal Wave: *looks back at her* No.

*Stardust nodded*

*she looked at the moons*

Stardust: I better go get some sleep. *surprisingly she looked wide awake*

*She shrugs and walks away* Alright, bye!

*Aurora and Crystal switched flanks, they both still stay at Gemstone’s and Corruptnight’s sides. Blizzard and Stormbringer stay at each other’s sides. The only other factor that was constant besides Stardust staying away from the group was Mudslide and Inferna were inseparable. Conversations changed frequently, and Stormbringer and Blizzard seemed to have their own conversation in their minds. Mirage and Cascade occasionally flew around to join different conversations.*

*Gemstone and Corruptnight stay silent*

Aurora: almost there.

*Gemstone nods. She looks down at her neck to a necklace that was a crystal that was the same shade of blue as her scales. Everyone guessed it was a special enchanted item of hers, but what was the enchantment?*

*Blizzard decided she should ask*

Blizzard: is that enchanted? *thinking: “it could be just to remind her of someone, or it’s a gift from someone.”*

Gemstone: Yes. I enchanted myself.

Sandwing Ace: I wasn’t expecting a queen to be searching for her!

Sandwing Ace: well, all you know anyway. Look me and that bastard have known each other since we joined. The one that ratted out Blizzard. I’m not sure how he knew anything about that, but he said something about that incident being an accident. I guess he was handing some of his jobs to her and she didn’t realize it. Point is, she made for a good assassin, and she was groomed and abused by that scumbag for a long time by the looks of it. Turned her into a killing machine pretty much. When she finally ratted her out, he confessed to blackmailing her. Vulture didn’t want her going to Thorn, so we issued the bounty on her for the incident. I don’t even think he intended on killing her. Point is the bounty came first, and when we found out she was pretty much nowhere to be found, we took it down.

Sandwing Ace: hey, I’ve been in this group longer than you have. That contract came later, sometime during or after the Darkstalker incident. Maybe Vulture was feeling cocky, maybe it was someone else, I don’t know. All I know is even if you were able to interrogate Vulture himself, you’re not getting anything. He’s forgotten about it numerous times and now he’s gone mad. This situation was always messy and poorly handled. I’ll even tell Thorn this if I have to.

Sandwing Ace: one more thing.. we have maybe been following you guys around. The bounty is now up because we have to have it again, she just killed 2 of our own. Doesn’t matter how much they deserved it.
