so, this guy's name is Muppet Cory.
first, he watched his subscriber count plummet to practically zero.
then, when seeking help, a certain someone filled his head with horrible knowledge that drove him to complete insanity.
after that, his friends were too afraid to check on him.
then, when the first human of legend did what Cory told him to, and put his SOUL into the broken down mechanism and made him Muppet Cory NEO (which Muppet Cory asked the one of legend to do in an attempt to get them to set him free) he wasn't free. in fact, his strings were stronger than ever.
then, when his last string was cut, he thought he was going to finally be free, but instead, he fell to the ground, dead.
FINALLY, when he thought the sweet release of death freed him, the Puppeteer used needles to reanimate him from the dead and continue tormenting him.
so yeah.

We have no clue why gold is alive, but he died a horrible, very long death, and he just watched as his idol's Pikachu tore him apart.
