BUT HE LURED THE CHILDREN WHILE VINCENT OR WHOEVER HELPED HIM KILL THE KIDS. THIS COULD ALSO EXPLAIN WHY THERE'S GLITCHTRAP AND BURNTRAP. I made a theory about Afton no one paid attention to, but he's a genius, the saferoom doors were soundproof before the seal, so maybe he took off the suit when he lured them into the saferoom, and no one could hear there screams.

I would believe this theory, but I’m pretty sure burntrap isn’t William. William is still glitchtrap. Vanny or someone, most likely Vanny, had found scrap trap after being burnt in the fire, and was commanded to put the flesh onto the mimic. The mimic is an endo skeleton who presumably witnessed the missing children incident. He was built to mimic actions, so, he started luring and killing kids. I can give more reasoning later. So, William made Vanny build his flesh from scraptrap onto mimic to continue his legacy without just being digital. Burntrap is just an endo with Williams flesh, while glitchtrap is still afton
