I hate metropolis the most

Actually I think Metropolis, wacky workbench and sandopolis are great zones despite people's beliefs.

The enemy placement in metropolis reply kills it for me. Otherwise, it would have been a pretty great zone. Labyrinth has great level design. The problem with it is that it is NOT made with Sonic’s momentum physics in mind, a common problem with sonic 1 stages. Labyrinth is just the worst example. Haven’t played the other two games yet.

Yeah sonic 1 didn’t age well

Green hill and starlight zones are a blast. Spring yard is kinda mid. The others have good level design, but weren’t built with Sonic’s physics engine in mind.

Yeah to be honest I like wacky workbench with its different time zones and stuff and Sandipolis is actually pretty good

I agree! It doesn’t take nearly as long as the other ones, the music is epic and it has four cool variations
