my user name is based of the death korps of Krieg from warhammer. i am learning German so i'm not that good at big words and stuff yet. as for weird names, nutkicker, moistcannon and 1-800-slapajoe
i have been learning for a bit but i do tend to forget to do it. a tip for you is to learn German grammar extensively when you can, it can be confusing as some sentences are word for word translated but other will flip where some words are altogether.
On online games, I always set my name to "レッドシチュー." I noticed that if you have non-English characters in your name, people start to sweat, and do terribly, making FPS games a whole lot easier; "レッドシチュー." translates to "red stew."
