ETL: Two characters are originally arch nemeses but later become a traditional mushy fluffy couple, completely losing the spark they had before officially becoming partners. They usually join sides and agree to a common goal. For example, a villain and hero fall in love and the villain becomes a hero as well.
EAL: Two characters who are enemies are simultaneously lovers in the sense that they still fight like before but can admit to enjoying each others company and finding quality time where they get along. Neither of them drastically change their ideals, goals, and motives but may find common ground in some areas. For example, a villain and hero fall in love and the villain stays "evil", but may agree to toning it down with persuasion from the hero.
