when hes in the 'angel eyes' state (seein the no-nos you've done), he usually comes in contact with humans, so it gets directly messaged into his brain what they've done. Also their eyes turn black which was pretty freaky the first couple of times.
For demons, he doesn't get messages of sins--the demon transforms into their true form which is scary asf, and hes the only one that can see them. If they're already in their true form, he doesn't get messaged about any sins they've committed because...well, they're a d e m o n -- lmfao--

I have a demon character, but he's half demon, half human

in the 'angel eyes' form, Gabe would only see the sins and have NO idea this character was a demon, unless he came in contact with him. THEN he would see the true demon form.

Gabe can see each and every sin you have committed in your lifetime just by looking at you, and he can get elaborations on these sins by coming in contact with you.

For example, if you murdered someone that is considered a Sin, and he will be able to see that; if he grabbed your hand, he would be able to see WHY you murdered someone.
Hes able to do this because of his "gift" of being spiritually connected to Gabriel, the angel of communication; this lets him be allowed to receive messages from heaven and have insight on other people.
The only downfall about this is that Gabe cannot control when this happens, or what messages he receives.
