Cory stared in horror and disbelief at his computer screen, having seen terrible knowledge mere seconds before. He ran to the bathroom and looked at himself in the mirror, clutching his head. He looked more Muppet-like, as if his body had already given in to the puppetry. He swore he saw strings flicker into view for a second, wrapped around his arms. He tried to jump out of the window. He couldn't live with the knowledge he was just given. But... he stopped before hitting the ground. Something was holding him up. He slowly looked up. Turns out he did see strings in the mirror...
