The world The Dunes takes place in, has no name yet, but I plan on giving it one (name suggestions are welcome), and it is on a Earth that has been stripped of almost all of it's resources, and there are small towns dotted about the vast deserts, the nights are freezing, and the days are boiling hot. But the one thing you will notice, it the very large dome, that houses the largest city ever built, Harem. Harem is very technologically advanced mega-city that has been built into sections with no walls (other than the dome, of course) mirroring the different styles of towns and citys of a time now come to past (basically the time we are in now in the real world). The dome is mostly layered with screens, to mirror the night sky, but the reason I say specifically the NIGHT sky, is because, well, it's always night in Harem. Other misc. facts are: that all jobs have been automized with robots, and most people work for different companys to fix the robots when they glitch out (total fatality count from malfuntioning robots: 27). There are more jobs, but those have the highest amount of people working in that feild. There are also monsters in the dunes, that can come out at any time, day, night, dawn, dusk, twilight, you name it. There are even rare creatures that come out during solar and/or lunar eclipses, they are much more powerful that the average monsters you see daily (those are already kinda powerful), but the ones that come out during solar eclipses, are blind, so hiding is your best bet to be safe from them, but... just like any other blind creature, all their other senses are hightened. I think that's about all the main things about my apocolyptic world. Questions are welcome.
