hermaphrodite would fall under the label intersex which include them and every other people with an anomaly on their biological sex, like the wrong hormones, the wrong chromosome or the wrong organs compared to the rest, sex is composed of many layers and you could be intersex without knowing it, for example having too many X chromosomes rarely does anything to the body since it's inactivated by the XIST protein, you could be XXXXXY and still have a male development!
