*you’ve got the Nightwing on alert now. They occasionally look over at you, scared a repeat of yesterday was going to happen.*
*the older icewing moves on to talk about a different battle. Both Icewings matched the description of the ones in the fight outside of Sanctuary. The Nightwing that was also described to be involved was also there, but they all acted like they were good friends now.*
The older icewing: you guys want to know about the time we tried to invade the skywings?
The younger one: what happened?
The older icewing: it failed, but we lost less soldiers than they did. This was way after I lost you Blizzard. *they continued talking but they lowered their voice until the end* … I started to feel really bad for them. So many dragons were just.. slaughtered. We had to back off in the end since it was clear the resistance was much more fierce than we were expecting.
*Both the younger icewing, and the Nightwing knew you were there, the older icewing did not since you landed too far behind her for her to see you, but because the Nightwing occasionally looked at you, she figured it out soon after*
The Nightwing: what about before the war? What happened to you and Blizzard before you joined the icewing army? Blizzard never talked about that much. *they were trying to read your mind at the same time.*
The younger icewing *they must be Blizzard*: I never really like talking about that, that’s why.
The older icewing: eh, it wasn’t a particularly great experience for either of us. *her voice lowered again so you couldn’t hear, she must have found this embarrassing considering the way she sighed after saying it. Her voice rose again after* … we spent like three weeks back at my home town before our parents enlisted, and Blizzard and I were drafted.
The Nightwing: yikes, I’m sorry to hear that. *he put his wing over Blizzard, the younger icewing, as a hug*
Blizzard: no need to be sorry, it’s not like we could change anything about it now.
