Okay, so my mom went out with her friends last night and they did karaoke and right as she walked in my dad was there, ON A DATE (which is weird cause my dad literally broke up with someone not even two weeks ago and hes really upset about it) and since it was a small room mom went up to say hi to my dad and my dad introduced his girlfriend to my mom and his gf was like “oh [insert dad’s name here] tells me so much about his daughter [insert my deadname here]” and my mom had to correct her on my pronouns AND name only for the woman to say “oh so its like a pronoun thing” and my mom left. needless to say im wearing my pin that says “please use they/them pronouns” around him.
i mean i dont strictly use they/them anymore, i use he/she at the moment but my dad doesnt know that.
and it sucks because he said he would try to work on it but its been nearly TWO GO***MN YEARS. and hes gotten nowhere, giving me talks about how i was “born a girl” and how this is “just a phase” and i’ll always “be a girl” but he doesnt know SHIT. he cant dictate my f**king identity.
and this has been the cause of so many arguments between my mom and dad. even before i came out they were arguing a whole bunch. what was even the point of me being born if i have to deal with this nonstop 💀
