Known/Public lore: he moved from a (no one knows what name) school, from an underprivileged family from a scholarship (UA). And trains to become a hero (or at least to seem like a hero)

Stand-Up looks like this, a small child with very fantasy-like clothing and one rainbow eye. They can talk but it just sounds like Jonah’s voice put through a little kid voice changer and he can also move them like a puppet, with the child’s movements being the mirror version of his own (he moves his right arm, they move their left, visa versa)

Jonah is a new student at UA that transfered from a normal quirkless/non-hero school because of a very late development of a quirk. Jonah is a big fan of JJBA and named his quirk after that (Stand-Up) (because- puns- and Stands- Stand-Up- HA)

Jonah’s quirk, Stand-Up summons a small child-like person that can manipulate how much emotional chemicals in someone’s brain there are. He usually uses it to make them super happy and laugh at jokes (hence the Quirk name) but can also make them sad or angry, but happy and laughing are easier to control and regulate so he uses it for distractions

Heres his dad, just called Sal usually, but Salvador Higashikata is a quirkless man who decided to adopt Jonah when they were just 3.

James: "Come on, just tell me."

Jonah: nah, you said stuff I’m good at

James: "I'm confident you could beat most people in UA in a fight."

Jonah: there’s a lot of people that would absolutely destroy me in fights

James: "Oh yeah? I think you're being an underdog."

Abe: "A scholarship? What did you do?"

Abe: *He sighed*
"How did you really get in?"

Jonah: what do you mean? Thats how i got in. *Abe doesn’t notice that Stand-Up is behind him*

Abe: "I don't mean to sound rude or anything but you sound like you're lying..."

Abe: "Even if weren't lying, grades are the only thing that really matter."

Jonah: ? *stops spinning the pen around for a second and turns to him* yeah?-

Abe: "I asked if you were doing okay? You seem pretty zoned out."

Jonah: oh- sure, yeah, i’m fine-

Abe: "Can we talk after class?"

Jonah: *confused but smiles* sure!

Abe: "Nice."

*Jonah bolted out of the classroom right when the bell rang*

Abe: *Jonah's shoes felt oddly heavy as Abe quickly caught up*
"Hey, I told you I wanted to talk."

*Jonah almost fell over from suddenly stopping*

Abe: *Jonah's shoes went back to normal*
"Did you understand that lesson?"

Jonah: what the-

Jonah: uh- thanks-

Abe: "You look pretty eager, that's all."

Jonah: oh- well we can walk together I guess

*Jonah's weight went back to normal and Abe set off*

Abe: "If you need any help just ask me."

Abe: "I'm Abe by the way."
*He reached out for a handshake*

*Jonah does more of a sideways high five than a handshake*

Abe: *It doesn't seem to faze him as he shakes back before letting go and focusing on the class*

*Jonah seems confused by the shaking of hands but kicks his feet up on their desk and starts spinning a pen around*

Abe: *He tried to ignore them*

*they don’t really pay attention and just silently fidget with their pen*

Abe: *He briefly turned to them*
"Hey, are you doing okay?"

*Jonah followed, swearing under his breath as he dusted dirt off himself*

Abe: "I'm guessing you messed with my mind somewhere in that fight."

Jonah: me? Neverrrrr-
*the teacher starts talking about- something important but Jonah is not paying attention and neither are most of the students*

Abe: *He briefly zoned out but mainly payed attention*

*they were talking about why people won or didn’t win and how to better yourself with fighting*

Jonah: ? *slightly pays attention+

Abe: "If you don't focus you won't succeed."

Jonah: yeah yeah, ok mom -.- *they say sarcastically*

*the teacher starts a countdown to when they can start fighting*

Abe: "I just have high standards."
*He snapped his fingers and Jonah's weight drastically increased*

Jonah: SHIT- *he almost falls over* *he sends Stand-Up towards Abe*

Abe: *He backed up and the weight left Jonah and switched to Stand-Up*
"Your quirk is a perfect counter to mine."

Jonah: ha! Jokes on you, they aren’t really a physical being sooooo you can’t do any weird weight shifting to them! *Abe suddenly starts feeling a bit of anger*

Abe: "Fine!"
*He drastically increased Jonah's weight again and marched towards them*

*Jonah just falls face first into the dirt, but still controls Stand-Up*
*Abe now feels a growing and changing feeling, the feeling goes from sad to angry and slowly gets stronger*

Abe: *He charged past Stand-Up and went to attack Jonah*

*Jonah laughs a bit, trying to get up*
*the emotions suddenly drop before getting too intense and they kind of jdut make Abe forget what he was even doing and make him stop moving*

Abe: *The weight disappears and he stands still, not moving an inch*

*Jonah gets up*
Jonah: well that was easy! *he punches Abe in the stomach+

Abe: *He didn't flinch and his skin felt as hard as a rock*

*His normal emotions slowly come back*
*the teacher starts counting down saying that the battle was almost over but it felt like it was way shorter than it was*

Abe: *He went back to normal*
"Hm? Already?"

Jonah: *makes Stand-Up disappear, and just- stands there as the timer goes down+

Abe: "I still have enough time."
*He rushed towards Jonah and launched a powerful right hook*

*Jonah tries to punch him before they get punched but fails and the time is up*

Abe: *He turned and walked towards the teacher, feeling contempt*

Abe: "What do you mean?"

Jonah: about- never mind-

Abe: "Erm, okay."
*He yawned*

Jonah: …

Abe: "All that work is pretty tiring... hey, what do you think you're best at?"

Jonah: like- in school or?-

Abe: "In school and in general, hobbies as well."

Jonah: uhhh- I guess .. I dunno-

Abe: "There's got to be something you do to pass the time."

Jonah: .w.|||| well when you say it like that it sounds way less cool-

Abe: "Is it sentient or a puppet?"

Jonah: a mix of both- they have some like- free will but mostly they are a puppet, so they can talk sometimes or walk around and think for themself but i control them-

Abe: "Sounds to me like a glass cannon."

Jonah: ?

Abe: "Very powerful but fragile."

Jonah: they are- not that fragile?

Abe: "So you're telling me that kid is tough?"

Jonah: do you want to find out or something?
