Katherine Grey had her dad leave her family at the age of 9 for some rich girl who ended up murdering him later, and Katherine has a sister, who is a literal psychopath (master manipulator and narcissist) but Katherine has grown to deal with her selfish ways. Katherine's family was somewhat wealthy, so her mother could pay off most of her college funding. Katherine however, worked her ass off to be able to pay a fraction of the money.
She worked from 16 to 20 years old, and studied in the medical field in college for 4 years, Katherine is now 24 years old. One fateful night, she drove home after graduating from college. Keep in mind she had spent a lot of money on college. She walked in her house, saw her mother brutally beaten on the ground, unconscious. 2 full cups of coffee later Katherine had driven her mother to the hospital to recover. The medical bill, however, was more money than she had left from college. Driving back home without her mother, and feeling defeated, Katherine decided to have a good night's sleep, despite chugging 2 cups of coffee in 1 minute. Before she went to bed, she saw her sister smirking, and Katherine knew that she was the one who hurt her mother, and knew when to time it.
Next day, Katherine desperately looked for a high salary job, and when she was about to give up, aimlessly wandered around a part of Monopolis (the city this takes place in) and unknowingly stumbled across a warehouse. One of the employees there asked why her mood was so negative, she said "I have to pay a pricey bill but I don't have much money" the worker told her that their company was looking for people to hire and that the job had a high salary, but didn't say what they would be doing. The high salary part got Katherine pumped, and since she had just studied at a college she was hired on the spot.
And that's where Katherine Grey's backstory ends, and Corporate Chaos (title of story i'm working on) begins.
