Good point. I wouldn’t say Mario and Sonic are enemies though, given that the Olympic Games series depicts them more as friendly rivals. I think a better example is Eggman. In spite of how ruthless and inhumane he gets at times (enslaving animals and Aliens, blowing up half the moon, etc), Sonic outright spares him.

yeah, but sonic and mario (atleast used to) be enemies but off that, sonic never kill anybody, he'll just spare them
