Speaking of... I found out a couple days ago that annual PSA tests to screen for prostate cancer are no longer covered by our (better than most) health insurance. What the heck.

Really? With doctor order? Due to inaccuracy of the test?

I have no idea. They ordered bloodwork for my physical last year, and I ended up with a $180 bill. I called the insurance company twice & ended up on hold for over an hour before giving up & just paying it. I called beforehand this year, and they told me the PSA & one other test aren't covered unless the doctor has a specific concern/diagnosis.

By that logic, routine bloodwork should be denied unless there is a specific concern.
