I want for the population to decide. The electoral college takes the popular and destroys the point. If the people decided, then the popular would be final. Because more people voting and direct votes without something twisting it into a new runoff is a direct option from the people

Because that is how they feel. Because they feel attracted to the same gender, or because they feel like the opposite gender. Maybe that kid feels like a republican. But in reality, politics are more environmental than personality. Personality is somewhat impacted by environment, but it is mainly genetic. People are born with their personality. They weren’t born with a republican - democratic bias.
