Because that is how they feel. Because they feel attracted to the same gender, or because they feel like the opposite gender. Maybe that kid feels like a republican. But in reality, politics are more environmental than personality. Personality is somewhat impacted by environment, but it is mainly genetic. People are born with their personality. They weren’t born with a republican - democratic bias.
