Someone hired an assassin to kill her parents, the assassin shot her parents in front of her, but she managed to push him out a window causing him to fall to his death. But he fired his gun at just the right angle where it went through her eye and grazed the frontal lobe of her brain, which controls your common sense I'm pretty sure, which is why she doesn't care about danger and comes off as insane (which she kinda is)
