I've suffered multiple scenarios like this- but it was with kittens- I'm still sad about them. I was worried we would lose our cat too since we ended up with him in the same way. He's fine though, just really stubborn and lazy.
ONE OF THESE VISITS MY YARD. A VERY YOUNG ONE WAS HIT BY A CAR AND WAS SLOWLY DIENG I COULDNT BRING HIM IN DUE TO A BIRD FLU THING GOING ON. AND MY ROOM WAS A DISASTER WE GOT BIRD SEED AND WATER AND I BUILT HIM A LITTLE SHELTER AND COVERED HIM IN A LITTLE 4 SEWING SQUARE BLANKET AT 7 16 AM I FOUND HIM DEAD IM SAD AGIAN
