Oh... Well... THAT is weird... Have you tried to clear the browsing data? If not, here's how to do it: go to chrome://settings/privacy and click "Clear browsing data". Click "Advanced", then make sure "Time range" is set to "All Time", and check the "Cached images and files" box, and click "Clear data"
