Pro tip: best use some crayfish in case you want some predatory fish, mainly bass, because crayfish are best for large and small mouth, white, and redeye bass, even sturgeons are attracted to crayfish.
Don't expect catfish to go after it though, as you should especially use nightcrawlers, bluegills, white suckers, and possibly gizzard shads, in Case catfish are what ya want. (if you didn't know this, I'm pretty sure other people would want to know this)

Your welcome.
But,if you don't want those fish, then maybe I'll give you some baits for trout.
Cause, mainly earthworms, (and I don't mean one type, I mean all types) make up great natural bait (like I said for the other fish, crayfish are natural bait for bass and sturgeons, and bluegills and nightcrawlers make up most natural bait for catfish)

What bait is your favorite?

I use crawlers, worms, and lures
Crawlers are very big and one can last a while if you pull it into pieces.

No, my family has a lakehouse that was built in the 50’s by my great grandfather. It has been passes down the family. That’s usually where I fish. Once or twice per year. I do have a creek less than a mile from my house but I’ve never had the chance to go and fish for salmon.

Hmm
I wouldn’t really know? I’ve never purposely stabbed myself with a barbed hook…that hurts.

No not stabbing yourself with one, just demonstrating how you take care of it.
