My fave weapon is a royal broadsword fused with a black lizalfos horn, it's great

You can craft a lot of weapons in totk. One tip for playing is to experiment with different materials. I never picked up the black lizalfos horn yet, but the horns on monsters are basically different weapon designs that can give your weapon a serious damage boost. Pretty much all of the normal weapons in Hyrule are tarnished(play the game to figure it out) and will be weaker than usual so it's good to remember this.

You can also get the same weapons but untarnished. To get these weapons you can go to the Depths and take a weapon from a black silhouette of a soldier(I never explored the Depths in the four corners of Hyrule, but I have a feeling that the silhouettes will reflect the races of their respective regions and have weapons according to them). The final way is to go to a Rock Octorok(eldin region), drop your tarnished weapon in front of it, let it inhale your weapon, and it will spit an untarnished weapon back.

Just upgrade stamina twice, the go to the castle library from the tower
