Well, first of all, afton is more insane than ever, he purposely killed elizabeth for his twisted experiments, he was caught for the murders, and he was sent to an insane asylum for treatment, but escaped. He continued his experiments, creating the funtime and nightmare animatronics from remnant. He eventually went back to the abandoned pizzeria to dismantle the classic animatronics and gather more remnant, but, of course, he awakened the spirits, they chased him to the safe room, he jumped into the spring bonnie suit and died. But he wasn't screaming in pain or crying, he was laughing. He knew what was gonna happen. He laughed at the ghosts and said "I will come back. I always do." before eventually bleeding out.
Springtrap has no eyes because the suit literally destroyed them. He's completely blind and relies on sound to try to get to the guard
