I met that the company wouldn’t be able to make new movies which means (like we are seeing at Disney) workers will get laid off to cut costs or just file for bankruptcy.

Studios are filing for bankruptcy right now because the writer's strike is crippling the entertainment economy lol. It's what happens when they don't actually pay their writers.
