Strawberries are not berries (which are stone/pit-less fruits from a single flower and ovary), they are known as accessory fruits. In fact, the pips on the outside are its true fruits. Weird, eh? I'm a fruit, disguised as a fruit. Blackberries and raspberries are also not true berries... But bananas, cucumbers, bell/chilli peppers and pumpkins are.
