Feel free to add to this for anything I missed, it'll help

T-shirts - Depending on your build, most of the time you're gonna wanna buy stuff from the men's section. Usually the clothes here will be pretty flexible, breathable, and plain. If it works for you, get bigger shirts if you have a larger chest/breast area, but still feel free to buy from the women's section as well

Hoodies - Unless you want one of those inspirational quotes that isn't something like "I kiss the homies goodnight" or something like that, you're gonna want to buy from the men's section. The hoodies here come in a pretty big variety of sizes, and you can wear bigger sizes if you aren't comfortable with your body since hoodies cover and hide a lot. Often they'll also be really soft on the inside, and I especially recommend Goodfellow brand, since they have especially baggy and soft hoodies

Jean jackets - You almost always want to buy from the women's section. Jean jackets are usually meant to be form-fitting or close to it, and you get this in the women's section. They'll also be thinner, cheaper, and lighter, so they'll be easier to wear and nicer for your wallet. However, if you want a bigger, baggier, and thicker jacket, then I recommend the men's "work" section, those jackets are built sturdy enough to withstand close to anything. These jackets are heaver and more expensive, but they come with the bonus of hiding your form a bit more.

Underwear - I'm gonna let all you people decide on what bras and stuff to use, but often men's boxers, especially boxer briefs, are really comfortable. They have a little two-way slit that lets airflow in, which can give you some cooling down below, and they're pretty flexible. The only downside is that if you're sitting for long enough, they start to ride up on you

Sweatpants - Buy from the women's section unless you want a "masculine" lumberjack design or something. Something about women's sweatpants just hits different, in my experience they're baggier, softer, breathe well, and can be used as pajamas too. Only downside is that they don't have sufficient pockets, which is why some people will like men's sweatpants more. I personally like the feel of women's sweatpants a lot more tho.

Jeans - If you can, but from the men's section. I especially recommend the slim and skinny fit types, since they're more form-fitting and, in my experience, more comfortable. Another added bonus is the pockets, they're way bigger and can fit, if you know how to pack them, a group of like 10 people phones distributed throughout just the front two pockets (not an exaggeration, I've done this before). Another added bonus is that they don't have one of those little adjustment straps on the inside, which means you can wear a belt, and depending on the type of belt, you can pull off a lot of different looks

Socks - Unless you're an ankle sock kind of person, men's socks, especially the long black performance socks, are what you want to get. They can go up pretty high, they're soft, and they match just about anything. I pretty much only wear long blacks socks anymore, all year round.

Pants overall - If you want a more androgynous or masculine look, go for jeans, since they can be pretty gender-neutral, especially if you use men's jeans, they look a lot more natural and less stretched. However, if you're looking for a more feminine look, if your a trans woman or enby just trying look fem, I suggest sweatpants, and one you can get stuff done to remove a bulge if you have one, then I recommend leggings, especially those Fabletics things that have pockets that rival men's sweatpants for depth. They're form-fitting, and from what I've heard, pretty damn comfortable and breathable.

Shorts - Depends on the look you're going for. Usually, especially for if you want to look androgynous or masculine, go for men's cargo or normal pocket shorts. I also recommend men's athletic shorts, but I'd you have balls then putting your phone on those is playing with death. But these shorts will give you a big more of an "I don't care too much" or "ready for anything" kind of look, which I know some people really want to pull off. If you want to look more fem, then I recommend trying to find jean shorts, which are most common on the woman's variety. If you don't fit in them, then take some old jeans you can get at a thrift store for like 5 bucks and get a friend who sews (or hire a professional) to hem them for you; this will let you turn your full-length jeans into shorts for a pretty low price

Well that's my guide to dressing androgynous or trans. If I left anything out, feel free to add on and have fun clothes shopping!

This guide is helpful, ngl.

But may i add that if anyone enjoys formal wear such as myself:

Buy a few ties and have one shirt for formal wear, one shirt is plenty and dome ties will be pretty versatile.

Sometimes even the smallest of things like accessories can make you androgynous.
It's mostly about comfort and to see if you feel comfortable wearing it. If you are able to buy clothes online, look for designs that match your aesthetic, even if it says "men's" or "woman's", it's okay. If you feel like it will fit, make measurements and check the reviews. Etsy is a good online store where you can find many things.
I got a few clothes i got from there, so of your looking for a shop that you can trust will deliver something that you like. I'm here to recommend a couple of my favourites.

I forgot about that
Another thing to add on, most people look great in a polo shirt, and if you want you can wear a bowtie with that, and in my opinion nothing screams "gay" more than bowties

Aha, yep.

Bowties do low-key scream "gay"
