Fishing lures!

Fun fact: The plastic part on the front of these two lures is called the “lip”
The longer the lip is, the deeper the lure can go in water.
If the lip is short, it is meant to go in more shallow water.

So long lip = deep diving
Short lip = shallow diving

That feels like it’s a good thing to know if I ever want to try fishing

Hey Iceu, Im going on a fishing trip with my dad and a couple friends tomorrow, any tips on how i can increase my chances to catch any fish? I really want to catch at least a 4 pound german carp or a 5 pound bass.

Its okay! Well i dont exactly know which one my dad is using, but my pole was one from walmart, and i dont really even know which one i had (it was a christmas gift) but unfortunately i didnt catch anything.. and my rod broke.

Yeah, cheap rods definitely don’t last long. I’m going to presume it was a spincasting rod and reel as well.

That is very cool. My dad has an entire big old box of fishing lures that has used to be his dads. I also have a very nice fishing rod that I will take a photo of soon

Ooo nice! I’m hopefully gonna be ordering another fishing rod and accessories tonight or sometime this week on basspro.com (bass pro shops) because my spincasting reel broke last year (my uncle bought me it)
But guess what? I I fixed it last night and now I can have another rod/reel as backup!
