Friend has a marble windowsill fall on his head and give him a concussion and the nurse was like: ok he's saying he's fine, so gave him some bruise cream and sent him back to class. He had a massive headache the next period and went home with it. Next day he comes in with the headache and passes out in PE. They send him to the hospital immediately and were like "why the hell didn't you tell anyone" and he said something which I remember to this day: "Idk, my head just hurt a little" lmao

Student: *Loses every limb, loses half their blood, gets possessed by a demon, gets stabbed 16 times*
School nurse: "ICE"

1. School clinics aren't federally funded like actual hospitals are
2. School clinics are too small to be able to house all the tools and machines that actual hospitals do
3. The majority of nurses are not trained nor certified for surgical procedures
4. It costs a hell of a lot less money to freeze some water and wrap a paper towel around it than to spend millions of dollars, given that treatment at the clinic is completely free
